👨💻 Week #31 Challenge 👩💻 : Karaoke Time 🎤
My karaoke journey, which began in my teenage years, has led me to my present job. I've been going to karaoke since I was in high school.
Even when I was in college, I competed in and won a karaoke competition hosted by the college community. I remembered singing "Crazy for You" by Madonna, and it was my first and only karaoke competition.
Working in an audit firm was stressful by the time I was in my 20s, but I still managed to go to karaoke bars after work with my friend, and that's how my friend forced me to go for an audition as a stage singer in one of my hometown's favourite bars called "The Colony.
I don't remember the last time I stepped foot into a karaoke bar. Because I often sing professionally and karaoke was never on my mind. This is just a short video sample of my singing.
However, this is not karaoke. This is me performing on stage live, and I just recorded myself singing. I'm not sure if this is relevant to our topic, but this can also be considered karaoke because it was simply singing with a minus one.

Thank you, @amayphin. This is just how I survive—getting food on the table and paying bills. Being a stage singer was never my dream, but singing is my passion, and I am glad I am doing something that I love to do.
You are welcome. I have seen singers here in the mall that I work, and every time I pass on that resto bar, I keep smiling hearing their performers. I am in awe with people like you who works and earn by entertaining by the talent you have. That is the most awesome thing, you work but you are also enjoying it. God bless.
The only time we (singers and musicians) experience sadness is when a celebrations or holiday, like Christmas or New Year's, falls on a day when we are unable to take time off or travel home.
During holidays, it is our responsibility to deliver entertainment for the crowd. We make them happy, while we are homesick.
Fortunately, I have been spending a lot of time in my hometown this year. I gain the opportunity to spend time with my family by performing as a freelance singer.

Thank you so much for the kind words, @justinparke. I am still learning how to make great content, and I am still finding my main topic on which I should concentrate more. I am into food, singing, books, poetry, and movies. And sometimes my mind is full of ideas, and I wanted to write about all five topics in one day, which we can't do here on this platform. Writing here can be so addictive, and I do hope I can be exposed to more beneficial information from this blockchain.
Nothing wrong with variety, I still don't have anything particular I blog about. But in the last year or so I've kind of realized that what I think is boring everyday life is almost always the best content for a post. Totally agree, expressing myself in written form is almost like a form of therapy for me.
People probably don't read content about boring topics very often, so writing about boring topics might be a new topic for them to read. Or perhaps what you find boring didn't bore the others at all.
