Weekend-Engagement : WEEK 172 | "Three Wisdom for Young Minds"

I always look forward to this day in this community. Each topic is one that I want to write about because it appears to me that they are all quite interesting. @galenkp always gives us a brilliant and interesting topic to write about. But since I was unable to make a decision, I made a fun game for myself.

I wrote down all 5 topics on the paper, mixed them up, and then decided on only one to write about. My lucky draw was made. This is the topic I got from the drawing :

"You're asked to give a classroom of ten year old children three relevant points of wisdom - What are they and why?"

o1AJ9qDyyJNSg3wWvCPXkCcN4PX4LXBvHAe3pDiooPRLJG3bc.png

Teaching young minds wisdom is crucial in a world where challenges and change are constant. As a single mother of four I am aware that the wisdom parents should impart to their children so they can embrace the future. Children are at an important turning point in their development when they are ten years old. They are curious, imaginative, and eager to learn about the world.

We may aid in forming their character, directing their decisions, and developing their potential by imparting to them three relevant elements of wisdom. I'll give three important pieces of wisdom to young people and explain why each is essential to their development as individuals and future success.

o1AJ9qDyyJNSg3wWvCPXkCcN4PX4LXBvHAe3pDiooPRLJG3bc.png

Wisdom 1:
(Accept Failure and Grow from It)

The fact that failure is not the end but rather a chance for growth is one of the most important things kids may acquire. Ten-year-olds who are encouraged to view failure as a teaching opportunity develop determination, tenacity, and a growth attitude.

Children get the confidence to try new things, persevere in the face of difficulties, and acquire problem-solving abilities by realising that mistakes are stepping stones to success.

This gives children the ability to get through challenges, boost their confidence, and develop a passion for learning that lasts a lifetime.

o1AJ9qDyyJNSg3wWvCPXkCcN4PX4LXBvHAe3pDiooPRLJG3bc.png

Wisdom 2:
(Practice Empathy and Kindness)

I believe that educating children about the value of empathy and kindness provides the groundwork for a society that is compassionate and inclusive.

We develop their emotional intelligence and foster healthy connections by teaching children to comprehend and share the sentiments of others. Children as young as ten should discover the power of compassion and how even the smallest deeds may have a big impact on others' life.

By developing empathy, children gain the capacity to settle disputes amicably, value variety, and build a caring community. They can develop into responsible, compassionate people who make a positive impact on the world thanks to this wisdom.

o1AJ9qDyyJNSg3wWvCPXkCcN4PX4LXBvHAe3pDiooPRLJG3bc.png

Wisdom 3:
(Accept Curiosity and Encourage Creativity)

Exploration, discovery, and innovation are propelled by curiosity. Fostering a child's natural curiosity enables them to inquire, seek information, and exercise critical thinking. By supporting creativity, we encourage 10-year-olds to think creatively, express their original thoughts, and come up with innovative solutions to issues.

Children who are encouraged to be creative and curious grow up to appreciate learning and be adaptable in a world that is changing quickly. These insights enable children to develop into lifelong learners who can make valuable contributions to society as creative thinkers and problem solvers.

o1AJ9qDyyJNSg3wWvCPXkCcN4PX4LXBvHAe3pDiooPRLJG3bc.png

Therefore, it is important to not undervalue the duty of teaching young minds wisdom. We give ten-year-olds the necessary skills for personal development and future success by establishing the values of accepting failure, engaging in empathy and kindness, and fostering curiosity and creativity.

These gems of wisdom develop children's resilience, empathy, and critical thinking abilities, empowering them to face obstacles head-on and positively impact the world. Let's invest in the next generation by assisting them in acquiring wisdom and developing into strong, compassionate, and imaginative people who will contribute to create a better future for all of us.

These three lessons are very crucial for not only 10 year olds but also for every individual going into the world to learn. Believe it or not, most adults don't even know these tips and it's hard for some to make mistakes and own up to it. Some people are so hard on themselves when they make common mistakes.
For the area of compassion, I think it cannot be stressed out of proportion. It is very important for us all to be kind and compassionate to one another.

From your outlined tips, you sound like a great and amazing mother to your kids. Well done and keep it up. I enjoyed reading this by the way!

I have been away from my family since I was a teenager. I've learned most of the time by experiencing it on my own. Everything around me is my great lesson. I've been travelling for work and staying with a lot of people of different races and age. Meeting them and listening to their stories may have been the help I needed to survive the madness.

I have faced failure in so many things in my 44 years of life. Relationships, friendships, work relationships—and I even breakdown and become depressed. Seeking help and starting all over again.

Today's world is so tough. I just hope that my children can stand the challenges in the future. I can't say that I'm a good mother, but I will always try to be one. There's no stopping me from being there for them, but I know I will always be there for them if they need me.

That's really all you can do - Be there for them. The fact that you are doing your best for your kids everyday is was makes you a great mother. Times are indeed tough and I might not know your personal struggles but know that you will make it and you are enough.

Thanks for sharing this with me, I am honoured.

These three wisdoms will surely leave a great impact to those will listen to it, but it still depends to the one listening. So explaining it to them clearly is must. i like wisdom 1 the most out of tree, just base on experience and it will really help if you have wide understanding about it and full of positivity.

While each of these wisdoms is valuable in its own right, your preference for Wisdom 1, which focuses on accepting failure and growth from it, reflects the importance you place on personal experience and maintaining a positive outlook.

It's not only for the young mind, but this wisdom is useful for us too. The world today is becoming so challenging, and I must say, as an adult too, I'm facing all kinds of failure, and my children have seen how I stumble upon it. I do hope they understand and can learn how the world works today.

I love and respect the listed 3 wisdom words to a 10 years old, and this speaks so much about your personality as a parent. Teaching children the aforementioned things will help shape their life in such a way that, they will be unstoppable in all aspects of life.

Thank you for your nice words and taking the time to read my post. As a parent, I won't claim to be an excellent role model for my children, but I will always try to be one.

It is important to provide a loving environment in which children feel loved, supported, and encouraged to develop their particular skills and abilities.

We can build their character and equip them with the tools they need to face the complexity of life with confidence and resilience by imparting wisdom. I must say, todays world are quite tough. They need to be well prepared.

You are welcome. I understand that no one is perfect or built in perfection. But, one's attitude speaks greatly on how one is trained in life.

I do agree that creating a loving environment for kids is a healthy way for them to live and evolve.

We must do that, especially in this world we have found ourselves being a parent.

Owh, I'm blushing just by reading your comments. As a parent, I agree with everything you have written above.

Creating a loving atmosphere for children is even more important in today's complex world, when they are exposed to a variety of influences and pressures.

We can give our children the self-assurance, generosity, and empathy they need to successfully traverse the world by developing love, respect, and understanding.
