Weekend-Engagement : WEEK 187

It's not too late for me to wish everyone in this community a Happy New Year. As usual, every Friday there will be an interesting topic to discuss and write about here.

I chose one of the topics mentioned and it is as follows:

What weekend activities are you getting involved with this weekend and why? Remember to use your own photos.

What have I been doing this week? It seems like wedding invitations have been coming in since last week and are still ongoing this week. It's rare for people to have weddings after the school holidays, but we received an invitation this Saturday (6th January 2024) to attend the wedding of my sister-in-law's sibling.

Yesterday, Friday equivalent to 5th January in the afternoon, was the solemnization ceremony of the bride and groom, but we did not attend it. We only came for the wedding reception, which is today.

The wedding reception started from 11am to 4pm. But I only attended for a short while because I had a prior appointment with my friend on the same day.

The wedding reception was held at the Sandakan Community Hall, and many family members and friends of the couple arrived around noon. It was a suitable time for lunch.

After the wedding reception, I went to Batu 6, IJM Sandakan, and met up with my friend there. She was my former singing partner, and she had just returned from Johor Bahru.

We both have plans for this year in Sandakan, and since she will also be in Sandakan, our hometown, permanently with her family, it seems like we have the same mission to accomplish here.

Within two hours, I hurriedly returned home using Grab car. There wasn't anything particularly interesting about my days, but when I can go out and meet with the public and my friends, it's definitely worth it.

I rarely leave the house actually, except when I go groceries shopping or when there's something necessary. Since my remote job contract ended, I have a bit more flexibility to go out for longer periods of time.

It seems that's all I can write about for this week's topic. Nothing too interesting, right? Just ordinary days for me. After arriving home, I immediately started writing here and I'm currently searching for other ideas to write about later.
