Making a Creamy Garlic Chicken Breast

Hi Hivers! Since Christmas is approaching, this dish is ideal for serving on special occasions. I'll show you how to make a Creamy Garlic Chicken Breast

Here's a step-by-step guide for you.

Ingredients needed:
For the chicken

  • 4 large boneless and skinless chicken breasts cut into halve
  • Flour (I used all purpose flour)
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Salt
  • Garlic powder

For the sauce

  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 6 cloves of garlic
  • 1 1/4 cup chicken broth (stock)
  • 1 1/4 cup half and half or heavy cream (or evaporated milk)
  • 1/2 cup finely grated fresh Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley

For the chicken breast:

Cut your chicken breasts in half first. Make sure you cut them into thin pieces to cook more quickly and evenly.

.

Season it with pepper, salt and garlic powder

Mix flour and parmesan cheese in a plate or bowl

Coat the chicken breast with the mixed flour and parmesan cheese.

I used a combination of oil and butter to add more flavor

Start heating over a medium heat, add 2 tablespoons of oil and 2 tablespoons of butter.

Fry chicken breast until golden brown

Take the chicken breast out of the pan and set it aside.

For the Sauce:

Don't throw away any of the chicken bits from the pan since they add a lot of flavor to the sauce. Cook the sauce in the same pan as you cooked the chicken.

After taking the chicken out from the pan, sauté onion

12.png

Smash 3 cloves of garlic

.

Add the remaining oil. Mix it through the onions. Sauté 3 smashed garlic cloves and 3 whole garlic cloves.

15 (2).png

Add the chicken broth.

16 (2).png

Turn the heat down to medium-low. Pour the cream. Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer for 2-3 minutes.

17 (2).png

Add the parmesan cheese. Continue to simmer on low heat until the cheese melts.

18 (2).png

Stir occasionally. To taste, season with salt and pepper.

.
Add the chicken to the pan. Allow the sauce to thicken for another 2-3 minutes on low heat, so all of the flavors will be absorbed by the chicken breast.

Take it out of the pan and garnish with parsley.
