Best Build to Beat Aram Mode using AURELION SOL - Wild Rift

New Challenges in Splinterlands, Brawl Guild Ahead.png

Aurelion Sol is a Mid-Lane mage, possessing a remarkably unique playstyle based thanks to his difficult mechanics for beginner players in utilizing his constellation of stars. During the laning phase, his early game can be a bit weak until he reaches level 3. However, once it reaches that crucial moment, Aurelion Sol's roaming potential becomes exceptional, thanks to the ability Comet of Legend, allowing it to gain advantages in other routes. However, this is not our focus as I am dedicating this guide to the Aram mode.

A noteworthy tactic is to combine his roaming with the use of Starsurge, his first skill. The farther he travels using this skill, the larger the area covered, making it difficult for enemies to escape. This skill for Aram mode is very effective for the Medium size of the map helping you to get the largest possible size of Starsurge in the shortest time. As the game progresses into the mid and late stages, Aurelion Sol really shows off his power, unleashing immense damage and displaying a powerful ability to protect his team, greatly benefiting the team.

Item Construction

Unlike the traditional mode in Wild Rift, Aurelion in this mode does not necessarily need explosive magic damage, but rather medium/high stamina and movement speed. We do not need to focus fixedly on eliminating opponents or being the biggest damage dealer at the end of the battle, but rather an interactive support between team battles (Team Fights or TF).

Rod of Ages: Unique – Eternity: Restore mana equal to 15% of damage taken from champions. Restore health equal to 20% of mana spent, up to 25 health per cast, while toggle abilities can heal for up to 25 per second.
This item gains 20 health, 10 mana and 6 ability power every 45 seconds, up to 10 times, for a maximum of 200 health, 100 mana and 60 ability power.

Rylai's Crystal Scepter: Unique – Icy: Damaging active abilities Slow icon.png slow enemies by 30% for 1 second.

Cosmic Drive: Unique – Hyperdrive: +5% movement speed
Unique – Spellweaving: Dealing damage with abilities or empowered attacks grants 30 (+ 70% ability haste from items) bonus movement speed decaying over 2 seconds (1 second cooldown per source).

Rabadon's Deathcap: Unique – Overkill: Increases ability power by 40%.

Liandry's Torment Situational: Unique – Madness: Being in combat with enemy champions generates one stack every second for the next 4 seconds. Deal 1.2% increased damage for each stack, up to a maximum of 6%.
Unique – Torment: Ability damage deals 1% of target's maximum health magic damage over 3 seconds. This damage doubles if they are Slow icon.png slowed or Stun icon.png immobilized.

The fifth item as described Situational is due to being compounded depending on the opposing team. It is great for the benefits of increasing your amount of max HP and for opponents with large amounts of HP. This would not be beneficial against snipers as an example, for that we could replace with Morellonomicon or another similar one.

This build as I mentioned above tries to benefit from the amount of Max HP and Movement Speed, but why add even more speed for Aurelion? Simple, the exploited tactic of immobilizing champions in area through the Starsurge + Comet of Legends that will continuously expand with its speed accompanying Starsurge.

Rune Construction

Conqueror: Basic attacks and abilities generate stacks of Conqueror on enemy champions hit, up to one per attack or cast. Each stack of Conqueror lasts 6 seconds and grants 2 - 6 (based on level) bonus (Adaptive) Attack Damage 4 - 12 (based on level) or Ability Power 3 - 9 (based on level), stacking up to 6 times. Adaptive Damage: Deals either physical or magic damage depending on your bonus stats, defaulting based on the origin of the effect.

Bone Plating: Blocks damage from the next triggering champion attack and 2 more attacks.

Nullifying Orb: If you take damage from a champion that causes your health to fall below 35%, gain a shield that absorbs 60 - 190 (with level up) for 4 seconds. (60 second cooldown)

Perseverance: Gain 10% tenacity. While immobilized, gain 16-30 armor and magic resistance for 1.5 seconds. Refresh duration when immobilized multiple times.

Gathering Storm: Every 3 min, gain 2 AD or 4 AP / 5 AD or 10 AP / 9 AD or 18 AP / 14 AD or 28 AP (Adaptive).

My experience with this BUILD

Since I became interested in the gameplay of Aurelion Sol in Aram mode I have been trying different strategies for it, after countless attempts thinking about standing out in the team with the number of opponents shot down or deaths canceled, I understood that Aurelion in this mode is not designated for combatant but support to the group. So I have won countless victories after that, it turns out that his power in a team battle ends up being diminished or restrictive against explosive shooters in critical and speed, Vayne, damn.

If well utilized this strategy you get to fully complete the route between the Middle/Second Tower. All opponents in the blast area have suffered the immobilization effects and your job is complete, just wait for your team to eliminate them one by one. However thanks to the movement speed introduced with the items, we were able to move smoothly in a ranged exchange safely.

I didn't mention anything about the final item (Boots) due to it being situational or player preference, I usually differentiate by need between Physical/Magical Resistance or reduction in skill time. About the enchantment I could repeat the same.

Highlights captured on video

I would like to be able to use 3Speak, but I am still confused about how it works on iOS, sometimes I have a problem with uploading the video, and sometimes with the HTML description. So I hosted it on youtube, I'm no video editor. This short video covers about the general strategy mentioned here, and the great use of it in battle, or I'm just a great player.
