Louis walked down the corridor, counting the door numbers as she passed each one. Lily had told her that he stayed in the 10th room. Louis didn't care how Lily got the information or if it was true; she was on her way to find out anyway.

She reached the door, took a deep breath, and rang the doorbell. The section was entirely different from what she had seen. One who hadn't gone to other sections would say she lived in the paupers' section after visiting this one. Everything was better; they even had electric doorbells.

After no response to the first ring, she rang the doorbell again. "Who is there?" a male voice from within the room asked.

"I am looking for Clinton and was told he stays in room 10," she said.

There was no response for a minute. "Well, you are speaking to Clinton. How can I help you?"

Louis cleared her throat and answered with a mild voice, "I would like to ask you a couple of questions."

"And what is your name?"

She then realized she hadn't told the fellow who she was. "Sorry, I am Louis."

The door was unlocked, and the man suddenly grabbed her, pulling her into the room. He was a fair young man with tousled golden locks catching the sunlight like strands of spun silk. His piercing blue eyes held a magnetic allure, drawing gazes as he moved with an effortless grace. Dressed in tailored attire that accentuated his athletic frame, he seemed to embody a living portrait of allure and charisma, leaving an indelible impression.

He was the most handsome man Louis had ever seen, but she would have fallen in love if she hadn't seen so many thriller movies where handsome guys turned out to be serial killers. Also, she had never seen him before in her life; that was the main problem—this was the very first time she saw him.

"So, do you have any idea of what happened to them, or where they could be?" Clinton asked Louis.

She shook her head because she had no idea.

"So, what do you want to talk to me about?"

Louis stood up and started roaming about, not knowing where to start. "Okay, firstly, I want to know how I met you and what happened when you were with me yesterday."

Clinton laughed out loud. "Is this some sort of joke?"

"Okay, just tell me what happened when you were with me."

"Well, nothing much. We had a good time, I kissed you, you loved it. Then you talked to this strange guy, walked away with him, and kissed him, which made me think maybe you were just drunk or a lunatic. I can't find you anywhere later, and then the guy you went off with goes missing. I..."

Louis cut him off. "Wait, so the guy I left you for is one of the two guys missing?" Louis said as she sat down on the sofa, trying to comprehend what was really going on.

Clinton saw the worry and confusion on her face. "Wait, what is wrong? You mean to tell me that you don't remember yesterday night."

"I can't remember anything; it's all just blank. Maybe I was drugged or something." Louis said, shivering in fear of what might have happened to her while she was drugged.

"It's alright; don't worry; you are safe," Clinton said as he patted her on the shoulder, trying to give her some comfort.

"Thank you for your time," she said as she exited the room. Clinton followed her.

"Why am I being followed by you now?" Louis asked Clinton.

"Well, I don't think it is safe for someone who was drugged to walk alone."

"And why should I trust you? How will I know you aren't the one who drugged me?"

"It doesn't really matter because you will never know; so you just go with it. At least that is what I do." Clinton had a natural sense of humor.

Clinton and Louis reached her room. "Woah, sometimes I forget how big this cruise is," Clinton said as he sat on the big iron box. Louis just stood looking at him with the eyes that said—what the hell are you still doing here?

"What do you keep in this box, by the way? I thought you said you don't fancy having so many clothes; you were different from any other lady I have ever met. Oh sorry, I forgot you forgot," Clinton laughed at the joke, which didn't seem to move Louis.

"That is not my box; I just woke up this morning, and it was there. Tried to open it but I couldn't."

"Let's see what surprises this box has for us," Clinton said as he brought out a pin from his shirt to pick the lock. After some minutes of effort, the almighty padlock made a click and was finally opened.

"I hope we find some gold in here," Clinton said as he took off the padlock. He then opened the box. "Holy Christ."
