Así hice una piñata de Thor paso a paso [Esp/Eng]

Hola, Linda comunidad, es la primera vez que escribo por aca y la verdad espero hacerlo mas seguido, porque me encantan las manualidades, en esta oportunidad les comentare cual fue mi experiencia haciendo una piñata de Thor, realmente nunca antes había hecho una piñata, pero yo siempre confió en el proceso, y esta vez tampoco me defraudo.

Materiales:

• Carton grueso y otro un poco mas flexible
• Papel crepe negro
• Catulina roja
• Catulina negra
• Cartulina gris
• Foami color carne
• Foami color marron
• Foami color gris escarchado
• Tijeras
• Silicon
• Hilo

Hello, wonderful community! This is my first time posting here, and I really hope to do it more often because I love crafts. Today, I’ll share my experience making a Thor piñata. I’d never actually made a piñata before, but I always trust the process—and it didn’t let me down this time either.

Materials:

• Thick cardboard and some slightly more flexible cardboard
• Black crepe paper
• Red cardstock
• Black cardstock
• Gray cardstock
• Flesh-colored foam
• Brown foam
• Frosted gray foam
• Scissors
• Silicone
• Strong thread

Proceso / process

Lo primer que hay que tener en cuenta es que es necesario por lo menos en mi experiencia tener la figura que quieres que tenga la piñata en papel, puedes imprimirla o como en mi caso dibujarla, luego en el cartón mas grueso marcar toda la silueta dos veces, para que tengas las dos caras de la piñata, y procedes a cortar

The first thing to keep in mind is that—at least in my experience—you need to have the shape you want the piñata to have on paper; you can print it out or, as in my case, draw it. Then, on the thickest cardboard, trace the entire outline twice so you have both sides of the piñata, and proceed to cut it out.

Luego de tener ambas caras, necesitaras el borde de la piñata, para esto usaras el cartón mas flexible, yo corte dos tiras de cartón como de 8.5cm de ancho, para poder cubrir todo el borde de la piñata, luego de tenerlas con el silicon pegaras las tiras de cartón a una de las caras de la piñata rodeándola, ahí ya tendrán una parte, la siguiente para mi fue la mas complicada porque olvide que necesitaba ponerle un hilo a la piñata por dentro para que luego se pueda colgar.

Pero logre solucionarlo con un hilo que tenia en casa luego de mucha búsqueda, así que no se decirles cual es el material de ese hilo, pero si que deben comprar uno fuerte y un poco grueso para que sea un buen soporte, para colocarlo solo tiene que hacerle un agujero en la parte superior de la piñata y luego tres agujeros en ambas caras de la piñata y otro mas en la parte inferior, la verdad es que poner el hilo no tiene muchas ciencia, es como coser y esto hará que puedas juntar ambas caras, luego podrás pegar la segunda cara sin tantos problemas, yo le coloque cinta para sujetarla bien y empezar a pegar la cara con silicón, y además al final le pegue mas papel a los bordes donde sentía que se podría abrir la piñata.

Once you have both sides, you’ll need the piñata’s rim. For this, use the more flexible cardboard. I cut two strips of cardboard about 8.5 cm wide so I could cover the entire rim of the piñata. After cutting them, use the silicone to glue the cardboard strips to one side of the piñata, wrapping them around it, At that point, you’ll have one part done. The next step was the most complicated for me because I forgot that I needed to thread a string through the piñata from the inside so it could be hung later.

But I managed to fix it with some string I had at home after searching high and low, so I can’t tell you what kind of string it is, but you should definitely buy something strong and a little thick so it provides good support. To attach it, just make a hole at the top of the piñata, then three holes on both sides of the piñata, and one more at the bottom. The truth is, threading it isn’t rocket science—it’s like sewing—and this will allow you to join both sides together. Then you can glue the second side on without too much trouble. I used tape to secure it firmly and started gluing the side with silicone, and at the end, I also glued more paper to the edges where I felt the piñata might come apart.

Y luego llego la parte más tardada para mí, decorarla, pero realmente fue porque no tenia todas las piezas cortadas desde antes, como ya tenia una imagen de referencia sabia cuales piezas necesitaba pero cortarlas mientras la hacia fue mas tardado, por eso les aconsejo que hagan eso primero antes de empezar a pegar

And then came the part that took me the longest: decorating it. But really, that was because I hadn't cut out all the pieces beforehand. Since I already had a reference image, I knew which pieces I needed, but cutting them out as I went along took longer. That's why I recommend that you do that first, before you start gluing.

Esta piñata no fue de papel crepe por completo como usualmente suelen hacerlas, pero aun asi la mezcla de los dintintos materiales la hace resaltar, y me gusto bastante como quedo el resultado final, sobre todo ver la alegría de mi primito al tener a su super héroe favorito como piñata

This piñata wasn't made entirely of crepe paper like they usually are, but even so, the mix of different materials really makes it stand out, and I really liked how it turned out—especially seeing how happy my little cousin was to have his favorite superhero as a piñata.I hope you liked it and that the tutorial comes in handy if you ever decide to make one.
