Arepa asada o frita deliciosa a nuestro paladar.

Excellent start of the week to all
with best wishes in all aspects of life.

I invite you to participate in the rules here, we are waiting
for you to tell us what you think of the image

Arepas, how not to love them. They are part of our Venezuelan culture although we hear discussions about their origin.

I can say that our arepa is unique, how to make it, how to cook it, what we accompany it with. Grilled, roasted, tostiarepa that technology has brought us, fried it is too rich.

In the times of the grandparents, they used to pill whole corn, after the work of pillar boil it could be white or yellow until it softened, then it was ground in those times with stone mills, from there knead and place on a griddle as they said in those times on the cooker. With industrialisation and the ingenuity of some important people, corn flour was created to make the housewife's work in the kitchen easier.

It was these women who dared to use the already processed flour to give impetus to this industry. Today in the national market there are so many brands of flour but only one still has its first place... for its texture, taste and smell.

Nowadays, you can still find whole maize and corn flour in the market, there are also families who like home-made maize dough and continue with the tradition, although they use electrical devices to grind the maize to make the work easier and to obtain the maize dough to grill the delicious arepas that we all like.

What do we serve them with? With whatever you have in the fridge.

Roasted or fried arepas are delicious to our palate.

Hola @mercmarg

Saludos
