I hope you are all safe, healthy, and well with your families.

Measurements were never my strong suit; I always struggled in academic subjects that required using various formulas to convert figures—such as changing centimeters to diameters, or similar tasks.

To manage conversions without too much trouble or doubt, I had to practice them repeatedly. That is how I managed to progress in subjects like physics, chemistry, and mathematics—and others that appeared in my curriculum—whenever numerical calculations were involved.

A few days ago, I saw an acquaintance—someone I didn't realize also struggled with these kinds of numerical tasks. I thought, "Phew, I thought I was the only one!" We laughed about it because she—like me—found it difficult to add up long lists of small numbers without a calculator (since it had to be done by hand); we would often have to go back and start all over again.

We both laughed about it afterward. When we realized the amount of number-crunching involved, there was a moment of tension. It’s not that I don't know how to perform the operation, but the process tends to get me tangled up.
