Abundance And Lack || DCC Contest
I hope I won't be spanked if I say I got to understand more about the word "Abundance" because of this contest even though I've been participating in the Bi-weekly contest in the community. I had to study the word more to get a better understanding of what my entry would look like.
My thought took me to another direction after studying the word especially from others posts like @curatorcat.leo who said in his post titled Curator Cat Considers: Fear, Greed, Abundance... and the Scarcity Mindset
On the other hand we talk about ”abundance,” which is typically centered on the premise that everybody has ”enough” and suffers no lack or need
Is it possible for everyone to be in abundance? Like there is no lack and people are living well without worries and suffering. It is the design of the world by its Creator, some people would be in abundance and some would be in lack... So where there is abundance, there is also lack.
While some people are living in abundance according to how people see them on the outside, there are a lot of those people who are lacking or suffering from something that isn't seen on the outside even with the abundance they do possess.
What I'm saying is that "In abundance, people can still lack happiness or peace of mind" and I want to believe I'm not the only one who would prefer my peace of mind to having in abundance. My definition of "Abundance" for this post is "Having over flowing wealth" such wealth have a strong foundation that it will be hard to lose it.
In another sense, while some people are busy spending their abundance... There are people who lack everything humans are supposed to have access to using money. But the world has become so wicked that they don't mind such people even when they have the capabilities to help.
What's the essence of Abundance when there is Lack?
Imagine a world where those in abundance give little or more to those in lack... Is not like it's the right of those in abundance to do such but what's the harm in doing it? Even though there have been cases of good being paid with evil, there has also been a lot of cases where good are paid with good... If you know what I mean.
Abundance and Lack is our reality now, we know abundance because we knew lack and how it feels except for those who never experienced what it feels like to be in lack though. So I'll advice that while we build our wealth to abundance, we should not over look the fact that our responsibility towards those in lack increases also.
And also, we should not crave for abundance to the expense of our happiness and peace of mind. Find abundance and eliminate lack, be happy in your abundance and keep your peace of mind. I don't think there's any use of abundance if we aren't happy and free from any kind of suffering, we can't be totally free from pains but we can always use our happiness to overcome.
Just my thoughts here though, would appreciate more comments on what you think about abundance and lack.

This got my attention. Indeed, anyone who knows abundance without understanding what lacks means, it may not necessarily be in the area of money, will always live an extravagant life, except and only they discipline themselves.
Indeed, the reason why God gives us in abundance is that he wants us to be of help to those who are in lack and not just for our selfish interests only.
Abundance without happiness is never abundance maybe I can call it riches but not wealth either because when we talk about abundance I think it should be abundance in all areas, so if one has a lot financial wise, and not in other areas, the person is rich because abundance is a complete process.
Those are my thought anyway.

Treating abundance on one side and lack on the other side is like the antique connection between being rich and being poor.
Just like poverty, I doubt if anything can be done to completely get rid of 'lack'.
The perception of many is that once they start helping, it will only deplete their pocket and make those that lack to catch up with them in the ladder. Unfortunately, that singular perspective on its own is already a contradition to abundance.
It's both complex and simple at the same time.
