Calm In The Quiet: Choosing A Life Where Peace Is The Priority

When I hear people say, "I'd love to travel the world", I would love to do same if money wasn't the issue but I've never really thought about where I'd live if my choice, insecurity and income wasn't an issue. All my life, I've only had to live where I was made to because of my family until I got admission into a university to choose myself.

I remember how I looked at a few places and settled for the place I lived all my school life in, because it was well situated and from stories, had good security. Personally, I wouldn't take a room there for the main fact that it was closer to a roadside but because I've heard too many bad stories of those deep inside, it was a perfect pick.

Some weeks ago, my sister suggested to me that I go live at another state different from where I've lived before. I actually did talked about my wish of living somewhere different but I'm yet to actualize it for these exact reasons mentioned in the prompt. So if they were no issues, one of the first things I'll do is to buy a land at a serene area.

If there is one thing I love most about living is, having a quiet space or home to go back to after the busyness and noises outside. I've once lived for a while at a peaceful area that every neighbor minded their business so well but there was still mutual relationship when everyone is out. It wasn't the best of what I wanted but it was good.

Having a place of my own, (not having to pay rent), designed and situated by my own choice and having the best kind of neighbours is part of my dream life. I know these will be possible to a good extent if I have the money and won't need to worry about security but it's still a dream I wish and plan to achieve. Having my own real home.

With the way my country is and how hard it is to find a safe space with no worries about money, one is tempted to think it's a hard dream to reach. But regardless of that, I'd love to live in an environment that's quiet with just me or a few neighbours who seek the kind of peace I want too. If I can, the area would be away from town.

I'd have a garden at a good corner of my large compound filled with trees and flowers that I'd have nature very close to me, especially if I find the quiet place inside a town. I'd do same if it's the other way round but one thing is sure, I want to build as much comfort as I can in the home and surrounding I'll live in and the garden is one.

If I must choose between the rural or urban areas, it's definitely the rural because even a very local place can be turned into a beautiful urban place with money. I'd have access to natural air to breathe in unlike in the urban areas, life would be a bit slower and better in the rural areas too. I'd have enough money to live comfortably slow.
