Her Saving Grace - The break relief

Waking up from her bed that morning, Becky didn't feel like doing anything. She wanted to just go back to bed after taking the medical relief for her headaches.

But her hardworking self didn't let it happen as she remembered a project she had been working on and was yet to finish it up. She sat down to continue it when she remembered she had not checked her phone since the evening she got home.

She remembered what her Boss said and the award she didn't get to win, Becky felt down and resorted to talking to her fiance who she hoped would help boost her morale.

The scream on the phone gave her a sign that the call wasn't going to end well, she wished she didn't call after seeing the number of missed calls from her fiance.

Sorry, I fell asleep and didn't hear the phone ring... Becky said without the hope of him believing what she said as she never sleeps too deep to leave a call ringing.

You know I won't believe that but that's by the way... Her fiance continued talking informing her about their company giving a break week to some selected persons and she was one of them.

Becky knew for sure that the break given has something to do with her giving too much work and time to the company so she accepted the offer and hoped that she would resume without the constant headache she's been having.

Every other person at the company who weren't given the break felt her absence as they all knew her to walk around for so many activities, they wished her the very best rest she could get.

Becky, on the other hand refused to have the rest as they had all imagined it to be. Instead, she began to work on a new project of her own which she would present to the company when the break ends for more accolades and maybe win an award this time around.

Becky knew she was addicted to her work but she couldn't find a way to get rid of the addiction. She kept fighting with the headache amidst her busy schedule inside her apartment.

The only time she came out of her room was to get food stuffs and on dates with her fiance which mostly didn't go well as she was always distracted with her work thoughts. She knew she had the most understanding fiancé but didn't know how long it will last and didn't care much about it.

Through out the one week break, the only day she didn't feel the headache was when she fell asleep while working on her project, she woke up without aches and thought it was all gone.

She hurried back to work when the break was over, she greeted everyone cheerfully as she always did and sat at her desk with so much excitement. Then the headache came back but this time, sending her to the ground.

She woke up in the hospital confused as she looked at her parents and fiance staring right back at her. She knew she was in big trouble but remained as calm as she could be as she forced a smile to her mum.

While on the bed, the headache kept banging on her that it blurred her sight and she felt herself needing more sleep. Becky fell back asleep to a dream that would bring a permanent cure for her headache.

What could the cure be? She's at a hospital, didn't the doctors do anything about the headache? What really caused the headache?
