Legendary thieves but wanted - Army of Thieves Movie Review (ENG/ESP)

I'm not sure if I've seen a review about this but honestly, I would really want to know what many think about this movie (Of course, from those who have seen it). From my review, you could guess almost immediately that it's a movie I was so happy I got the chance to see, I think I've seen it twice now.

But to be honest, the title made me not to see it even after weeks of it being in my movie list because I thought it was going to be more of actions and gun shooting... Yeah, it has all that but there's more than just that. And after seeing the movie, I'm like "Why haven't I seen it long before now?" so funny how we tend to look down on some movies.

Army of Thieves is a 2hrs 7mins movie released in October 2021, still a very recent one and a sequel to the movie "Army of the dead" even though there are a lot difference between the two (I'm yet to see it though but someone had told me they aren't same).

Synopsis

The movie started off with the story of a great locksmith man called Hans Wagner (Starred by Christian Steyer) being told by a young man on his social media. Hans Wagner was a great man but was never appreciated with his works of creating lock safes that are near impossible to crack.

Out of pain and anguish from the lost of his family, the great Locksmith created a lock safe for himself and used it as a tomb where he died in and no one could open, he was buried with the safe.

The main movie kicked off when the story teller (Sebastian starred by Matthias Schweighofer) ability to unlock safes is discovered by a girl who is wanted for arrest and part of a crew of thieves.

Meet the army of thieves after recruiting the new member

Sebastian, the new member who has a unique ability of cracking safes but was getting unnoticed like Hans Wagner until a girl from a crew of thieves found and tested his ability to recruit him to her team for a bigger operation that requires unlocking difficult safes.

I can't talk about him without mentioning how much I love his accent, his act skills and his funny moments in the movie. He was living a boring life that just didn't suit him, even though they were doing wrong by stealing... The safe unlocking adventure suits him so much more than his bank duties.

Gwendoline, starred by Nathalie Emmanuel, the lead female of the army of thieves. She found a new safe unlocking rare talent on social media, tested him and approached him for a deal to join her crew to operate a bigger robbery that requires difficult safe unlocks.

She is known to be a hardened thief from childhood to teenager until adult, she is a wanted criminal in the country but is too good to get caught. Her special abilities is taking people's stuffs with so much ease.

Korina starred by Ruby O. Fee, is the computer guru among the team. She's been hacking systems and passwords since she was little, her work in the crew isn't taken lightly as she makes it easy to detect trouble and help the team get away with their crimes through computers.

She's also a funny nerd, I like the part she played even till the end... Giving loyalty to whom it's due, you will have to see the movie to know what I mean.

Rolph starred by Guz Khan, the fastest car driver... There's no street in the country he couldn't drive on, he's so fast that as a Valet, he uses parked cars for operations and returns it even before the owners comes out to get their cars.

I don't know why his name sounded awkward when he introduced himself to their new team member but that scene got me laughing really.

Brad Cage starred by Stuart Martin, the one who poses himself as the leader of the army thieves even though he wasn't. I don't know if this stands as a spoiler but I hate his role in the movie, never liked him in any of the scene even when he was showing all the action moves at a bank they operated at.

He's the kid who was bullied at school but learned to fight and became very strong, he's the fighter in the crew.

These characters were good enough for the movie and I specially like the lead character, maybe because he's the lead but I like how dynamic his acting was... Full of thrills, comedy, smiles and lots of talk!!! You can't imagine how much he talked until you see the movie.

Other characters most especially the agent who was so after these thieves was an exceptional one too, I guess they selected the right persons for this sequel which is cool.

Yeah, there are more than one highlight for me even though they were almost kind of same in some ways. Back to my favourite character in the movie, Sebastian.

How he unlocks each safe from the less difficult to the most difficult one is so impressive even though it's just movie. He would need to have a music playing, maybe someone to talk to (Gwendoline was so good at being that someone) while he unlocks the safe.

The main highlight for me was when he unlocked the hardest one, I felt my heart shaking seeing that scene as I thought they would be caught before he could unlock it... Maybe that would have been some cool highlight if they had added it, don't you think? Everyone gets to see how awesome he is unlocking the near impossible safe to crack.

Haha, the appearance of Dwayne Johnson in the movie, just in the last scene is a cool addition to me. I've always been a fan of his movies even though I've only seen a few of them.

Overall, I'll rate the movie a 9/10 because I love almost everything about it. From the storyline, the graphics (The inside of each safes), the characters and most especially the suspense... I think it's worth that rating number from me.

No estoy seguro de haber visto una reseña sobre esto, pero sinceramente, realmente me gustaría saber qué piensan muchos sobre esta película (Por supuesto, de aquellos que la han visto). De mi reseña, podrías adivinar casi de inmediato que es una película que estaba tan feliz de haber tenido la oportunidad de ver, creo que la he visto dos veces.

Pero para ser honesto, el título hizo que no la viera incluso después de semanas de estar en mi lista de películas porque pensé que iba a ser más de acción y disparos... Sí, tiene todo eso, pero hay más que solo eso. Y después de ver la película, estoy como "¿Por qué no la he visto hace mucho tiempo?" tan divertido cómo tendemos a menospreciar algunas películas.

Army of Thieves es una película de 2 horas y 7 minutos estrenada en octubre de 2021, todavía muy reciente y una secuela de la película "Army of the dead" aunque hay mucha diferencia entre las dos (Todavía tengo que verlo, pero alguien me dijo que no son iguales).

Sinopsis

La película comenzó con la historia de un gran cerrajero llamado Hans Wagner (Protagonizada por Christian Steyer) contada por un joven en sus redes sociales. Hans Wagner fue un gran hombre, pero nunca fue apreciado por sus trabajos de creación de cajas fuertes que son casi imposibles de romper.

Debido al dolor y la angustia por la pérdida de su familia, el gran cerrajero creó una caja fuerte con cerradura para sí mismo y la usó como una tumba donde murió y nadie podía abrirla, fue enterrado con la caja fuerte.

La película principal comenzó cuando el narrador de historias (Sebastian protagonizado por Matthias Schweighofer) descubre la habilidad de abrir cajas fuertes por una chica que es buscada para arrestarla y parte de una banda de ladrones.

Conoce al ejército de ladrones después de reclutar al nuevo miembro

Sebastian, el nuevo miembro que tiene la habilidad única de abrir cajas fuertes pero que pasaba desapercibido como Hans Wagner hasta que una chica de una banda de ladrones encontró y probó su habilidad para reclutarlo en su equipo para una operación más grande que requiere desbloquear cajas fuertes difíciles.

No puedo hablar de él sin mencionar lo mucho que amo su acento, sus habilidades para actuar y sus momentos divertidos en la película. Estaba viviendo una vida aburrida que simplemente no le convenía, a pesar de que estaban haciendo algo malo al robar... La aventura de abrir una caja fuerte le conviene mucho más que sus deberes bancarios.

Gwendoline, protagonizada por Nathalie Emmanuel, la protagonista femenina del ejército de ladrones. Encontró un nuevo talento raro para desbloquear cajas fuertes en las redes sociales, lo probó y se acercó a él para hacer un trato para unirse a su equipo para operar un robo más grande que requiere desbloqueos de cajas fuertes difíciles.

Se sabe que es una ladrona empedernida desde la niñez hasta la adolescencia hasta la edad adulta. Es una criminal buscada en el país, pero es demasiado buena para que la atrapen. Sus habilidades especiales es tomar las cosas de las personas con tanta facilidad.

Korina, protagonizada por Ruby O. Fee, es la gurú informática del equipo. Ha estado pirateando sistemas y contraseñas desde que era pequeña, su trabajo en el equipo no se toma a la ligera, ya que facilita la detección de problemas y ayuda al equipo a salirse con la suya a través de las computadoras.

También es una nerd divertida, me gusta el papel que interpretó hasta el final... Dando lealtad a quien se debe, tendrás que ver la película para saber a lo que me refiero.

Rolph protagonizada por Guz Khan, el conductor de autos más rápido... No hay calle en el país por la que no pueda conducir, es tan rápido que como Valet, usa autos estacionados para operaciones y devoluciones incluso antes de que los dueños salgan a buscar sus autos.

No sé por qué su nombre sonó extraño cuando se presentó a su nuevo miembro del equipo, pero esa escena me hizo reír mucho.

Brad Cage protagonizada por Stuart Martin, el que se hace pasar por el líder de los ladrones del ejército a pesar de que no lo era. No sé si esto es un spoiler, pero odio su papel en la película, nunca me gustó en ninguna de las escenas, incluso cuando mostraba todos los movimientos de acción en un banco en el que operaban.

Es el niño que fue acosado en la escuela pero aprendió a pelear y se volvió muy fuerte, es el luchador del equipo.

Estos personajes fueron lo suficientemente buenos para la película y me gusta especialmente el personaje principal, tal vez porque él es el protagonista, pero me gusta lo dinámica que fue su actuación... ¡¡¡Lleno de emoción, comedia, sonrisas y mucha charla!!! No te puedes imaginar cuánto habló hasta que ves la película.

Otros personajes, especialmente el agente que estaba detrás de estos ladrones, también fue excepcional, supongo que seleccionaron a las personas adecuadas para esta secuela, lo cual es genial.

Mis escenas favoritas de la película

Sí, hay más de un punto culminante para mí a pesar de que eran casi iguales en algunos aspectos. Volviendo a mi personaje favorito de la película, Sebastián.

La forma en que desbloquea cada caja fuerte, desde la menos difícil hasta la más difícil, es tan impresionante a pesar de que es solo una película. Necesitaría tener música, tal vez alguien con quien hablar (Gwendoline era tan buena para ser ese alguien) mientras abre la caja fuerte.

Lo más destacado para mí fue cuando desbloqueó el más difícil, sentí que mi corazón temblaba al ver esa escena porque pensé que los atraparían antes de que pudiera desbloquearlo... Tal vez hubiera sido un momento destacado genial si lo hubieran agregado, ¿no crees? Todos pueden ver lo increíble que es desbloquear la caja fuerte casi imposible de romper.

Jaja, la aparición de Dwayne Johnson en la película, solo en la última escena, es una buena adición para mí. Siempre he sido fanático de sus películas, aunque solo he visto algunas.

En general, calificaré la película con un 9/10 porque me encanta casi todo. Desde la historia, los gráficos (El interior de cada caja fuerte), los personajes y, sobre todo, el suspenso... Creo que vale la pena ese número de calificación de mi parte.
