Making Memories With Family On Two Wheels

This beautiful sight of "Family getting together in cycling" is very rare to find in my area but it's one I'm so envious to experience someday. I've seen it in movies a lot where the family decides to go on a family date, get on their own bikes, have fun and live the rest of their days smiling to those days.

While cycling has proven to help in many ways that we know most especially helping to keep fit and healthy, it has also proven to help build bonds to grow stronger. I shared a post about Cycling In Dating some weeks ago and I shared at length a lot of ways cycling has played significant roles in new dates and even couple dates.

It's fascinating the smiles cycling can bring to one's face, seeing it in the movies may not seem real enough but I know the joy I had when I first learned to ride a bike and was getting good at it. Imagining a time when I have to go on some bike adventure with my family, people I love so much, would definitely be more than smiles for me.

From what I see in cycling, there are a lot of ways to turn a simple ride into something unforgettable for the individuals involved and one of the many ways is choosing a day out with family and biking. In a few movies I've seen, there are some activities that involves cycling which helped to strengthen family bond.

In this post, I'll be sharing some fun bike adventures perfect for family bonding which I can remember from a few movies I've seen and I wish to experience in the future. For every adventure, taking safety into good consideration is very much important and so I'll share some safety tips too to conclude this post.

The first I can never forget and would definitely try our first is, owing and designing personal bikes according to what each owner likes. As a lover of the sky and ocean colour (blue), having my bike decorated with blue stickers would be fulfilling. Imagine a family out for a fun bike adventure with their customized bikes and maybe in matching wears, how lovely! I know it would be.

The second step would be the fun family bikepacking for the adventure. This would show all the excitement by the family, include route plans and meal breaks while on the adventure. I always think preparing for an adventure is part of the adventure because of the happy thoughts and excitement to what they will experience soon.

Another fun activity that I find educating as well is, nature and treasure hunt rides with family. Many knows how fun treasure hunting can be, adopting a bike ride to such a fun would be more than just fun for a family out to bond. Adults would find this very fun but it is more fun for kids when they are made to find small treasures by their parents and promised gifts.

Having a camera to take shots of literally every experience seen and felt is an important part of the adventure. A throwback for the kids to look when they grow older, for parents to smile to when their kids are older and away from home. Even after the adventure, it's expected that the family would grow stronger in love as they continue to live together till life takes them wherever for the better.

It's a bike ride, the bikes to be used must be checked for any fault to avoid bike accidents. Having the bikes cleaned too would make a smooth adventure. Ensuring that every member of the family has their safety wears like (helmets) on is another too.

Making research and planning the route for the adventure is a safety move, making sure the area is safe for every member in the family going on that exercise. Enough should be taken along for the adventure including meals, water and first aid supplies.

Cycling is fun but much fun when we incorporate creative ideas, explore new destinations, and personalise rides to turn ordinary bike outings into extraordinary family adventures.
