My Before, After And Now - Needs Recommendation (ENG /ESP)

Pink Tender Realistic Color Inspiration Summer Moodboard Photo Collage.png

I felt really happy and excited finding this community, I actually got to know about it today through a post I read and I immediately decided to come up with a post about my facial skin and it's problems.

Our faces are one of the first features people see and uses to address us to others, imagine hearing someone addressing you as the "Girl with pimples" it would hurt but the thing there again is "You can't hate yourself to get rid of the pimples" instead, you choose to find ways to get rid of them.

Building beauty and staying beautiful isn't an easy task especially for women and those who have sensitive skin like mine. But anyways, we women try to stay beautiful and attractive... That starts with our faces, I guess.

This was how my skin looked about a year ago and you can see how messed up my face was. It had actually been like that since I was around 15 but it comes and go with different kinds of styles on my face.

I was never happy looking at my face all those times, I resulted to different kinds of recommendations to get rid of them but they just kept growing worse on my face.

All the search ended last year December when a friend recommended a face cleanser and cream. I was also doubtful about the recommendation like the others I have had but regardless, I decided to try it out since she showed me proof of what the products have done.

IMG_20220603_202704.jpg

I actually tried to find these products online but couldn't find the cream, just the cleanser and I guessed that the cleanser was more legit which it later turned out to be. Not finding the cream online didn't stop me from making use of it to see the result.

IMG_20220603_202730.jpg

Since it's a cream, I was directed to use it after morning bath and that is once a day. I noticed it caused too much sweat when it's hot during the day so I understood why it's use was directed that way. I made sure not to apply much on my face because of the too much sweat it causes.

IMG_20220603_202801.jpg

I was directed to use the Lotion Tonique twice a day, before morning bath and after night bath. Honestly, I didn't follow as directed with this because I tried following it once, it was too harsh on my sensitive skin. So I've been using it once a day and that is after night bath.

These products are said to help enhance skin, remove spots and beautify one's skin.

You should go back up to see my before again then look at this picture to see the difference between the time I started to use the products on my face. I was so happy for how fast it was to see the changes (It actually took up to two months to get this clean face lol)

I began to recommend the products to others who had same issues and it worked for them too. The products aren't costly so I easy bought them to keep the face looking good.

But something happened...

IMG_20220529_174224.jpg

The soldiers came back some weeks ago and I know I allowed it because I got relaxed with my pretty face. I stopped using the products and just made sure to be using a good soap on my skin while bathing.

Well, it didn't go as plan because the pimples came back and darker this time around. Not sure if you could see them clearly from the picture, couldn't find a close up picture... Pardon me.

I've started using the products again but I'm yet to see results, it actually seem to be getting worse. Should I continue with it or can I ask for recommendations from you? What do you think I should do about my face? It's getting scary again 😩

Thanks for reading!!!

I'd recommend a dermatologist appointment. It's cheap at general hospitals but you have to strongly request for one cos they mostly refer you to a general physician.

Oh thanks a lot for the recommendations, I'll try to get an appointment with one soon... Someone had once told me about that before

Well, I believe your skin does not define you. It is good to take steps to look good all the time but when it happens that you aren't getting the right result, you just have to relax. I love your looks in the second picture no doubt but I can say you shouldn't stress yourself much trying to clear the pimples. They will leave with time. Ok. Drink lots of water too as you use the product.

Hey, I hope you are joining in the dreemport new challenge?

ahhhh my son and I have dealt with bad skin too!!! and it was so painful - emotionally and physically. I even have a video about it - i'll have to send it to you - because you won't believe how bad it got! hahahaha

and it took a while to finally clean it up - i think just being gentle with it - using gentle soups, and eating healthy, and truly babying your face...

that's the best way - eating clean and drinking water is so important. and then always babying your skin! hehehe

you will find the process that works for you - because look! hehee it is evident that you knew how to do it! but just got lazy again (like we all do - right? hahaha)

but remember that your beauty comes from within! and that is what needs the most attention - the rest will come, my sweet!!!

Hahaha really? I didn't think you suffered such too, I guess the method you used worked for you... Would like to see the video.

your beauty comes from within!

Indeed, I'm very mindful of that 😊 thanks ma'am 🥰

Not sure if I should comment here or under the post 😅 but just going to type it here.

Firstly, I think the skin and body care community would appreciate that video a lot. I wish I had seen the video when it was uploaded, that was before I got these face products recommended to me.

No doubt, people won't mind how you feel but just make you feel worse in your skin and you've made me realize it once again that the inside is what matters.

And oh my goodness!!!
Those were big balls on your face, and your skin colour made it even more pronounce... Well, now you can face the camera without make up (Super cool).

My bad skin is actually one of the reasons I'm yet to explore the music community on Hive (Using the video camera and even editing it just don't take the pimples away) 😒 but it may now.

I really appreciate you sharing the video with me ma'am, I'll just try better in babying my face like you've said 😊

Yeah - I didn't even know that there was a community for this! but i wish it was there when I first posted these, because I think also that they would help people. I think i did two or three posts about it... Maybe i'll have to think about it again - and share some more tips hehehe not sure LOL but we'll see hehehe

but i know what you mean - there are so many things that stop us from sharing who we are...

that's why the series was called vanity and vulnerability. hehehe

because we can slide from side to side - too vain, or too vulnerable...

but right in the middle is perfect! hehehe
hmm maybe i'll share again - we'll see LOL

i'm glad you enjoyed the post! hehehe

This is most likely caused by something in your diet. Try simplifying your diet and add one product at a time back and see if it has any effect. Some of the most allergic foods are:
Dairy
Wheat
Peanuts

You can also get some natural antibiotic balms (Goldenseal balm). The one I use is:

Hmm that could be very true, I do take peanuts a lot but I've also met people who say it doesn't cause it because they do take it a lot and their faces are okay.

Then dairy products? I take that a lot too, it's actually my favourite 😒 they are my major foods, so I may be going hungry if I'm to stop taking them 😩

I don't think there is such balm here but there might just be something to take it's place, I'll find out about it that.

You do have pimples on your face too? 😕

It is most likely dairy causing it as it is very allergic. I would at first exclude all dairy to make sure if it is dairy causing it. Then you can probably still eat some dairy products, but not as much. A little bit of Cheese or some cooked cheese like on pizza and things are probably so little it won't affect you, but drinking milk, ice cream, yoghurts or creme Fraiche are the main ones to avoid.

It is the same for my daughter who gets rashes and red skin when she eats lots of dairy. Peanuts are also highly allergic but might not be the culprit here for you, but are worth avoiding.

Good luck with changing your diet.

Oh I see, thanks a lot
I guess I'll have to change my diet to see for myself, because using cream products don't seem to be a lasting remedy for me.

I appreciate your help a lot @mypathtofire

Sometimes these products have lots of fake out there. It could be that you bought the fake or perhaps it's still the original but something is different. It could be change of environment and water.

I used to battle so much pimples when I was much younger. There was no smooth spot on my face as everywhere was filled with big bumps and black spots. I tried everything you can ever think of and nothing happened until someone introduced my cream and soap to me and like magic, my face became spotless and soft.

Unfortunately since my coming to Lagos, the pimples have since returned and the black spots. I still use the same skin care products but I have a reason to believe perhaps the water could be the reason. I will research on it and see what I can come up with.

Oh my! You had those too? It's funny how it just goes away like it never happened... Your face is super smooth when I last saw it 😅

Well, I'm also sure the environment and water has something to do with it but what do a traveler? Because he or she would have to live in a different environment and take new water.

I'm yet to find the right cream and soap for my skin, these products aren't lasting at all 😒

I think the water has a role to play..I googled and I think I am going to wash my face with sachet water for like two weeks and see if there would be any noticeable changes. I hate having my face look like I just survived chicken pox.

As for the right cream, you have a great skin tone and that shouldn't be hard. You just need to meet the right dermatologist

I've tried using sachet water for more than a month, it didn't work for me 😒

I guess seeing a dermatologist is the next step I'm going to take, I would have to go for the most highly recommended.
