My Style In Playing The Strategy Board Game - LUDO

Gaming is a part of life I find really interesting, those small competitions and wins bringing smiles and making you feel good. I've loved playing games since I was little and there were so many games I engaged in like the "Police catch thief", "Whot", "Scrabble", "Ludo", and a lot of other outdoor and online games.

From all my game experiences, I can say I enjoyed playing board and online games more as they pushed me to think smarter and faster. But for the purpose of today's prompt, I'll share my strategy in playing one of my favourite board game... LUDO.

The LUDO Game is a strategy board game that allows two to four players at a time. The players play their four tokens each from start to finish, the first to do this becomes the winner of that game round. The use of dice is a compulsory part of the game as it is what determines how fast or slowly the tokens would move around the board.

I don't know how long Ludo have been a game people play but I've known it since I was little and that is what counts for me, it's a game of my childhood and one I can not get tired of playing. Although nowadays, I find myself in search of money (financial freedom) than playing games around lol.

The LUDO game is a game of both luck and playing smart to win and from my experience in playing this game, I can say I'm really good at it. I've once played with a master in Ludo as they said he was one. We had it hot that day but I won at last although it was a close win.

But yeah, I've lost a countless time in playing this same game that I know I'm good at and like I said, it's all in the luck I got and how not so smart I took some move while playing. It's a game you learn a new strategy at every round you play and I've come to learn a few tricks and strategy to playing this game.

My Strategy in playing the Ludo Game

A game where 80% of your winning is on the figures your dice give, one can mostly rely on the 20% of playing those figures right to get your tokens to safety or taking out the tokens of your opponents to win. The Ludo Game is very fun but it is never fun for me when my opponents are slow to count their tokens or make their move smartly and with a fair enough speed.

Ever played a ludo game with someone who doesn't know how to count their token fast?

It can be both annoying and killing the fun, maybe it's just me though. So one of the things I look out for is playing with people who really know how to play. That way, my other strategy comes to play.

You watch and take note of how your opponents play their side of the game, there is always something new to learn in doing that. It has helped me a lot especially after I played with a guru (an expert) in Ludo games.

There are other strategies like not trying to take out every token you find in your way and that is by studying the nature of that particular round to be sure you won't get stuck afterwards. I wish I could play the game right away, I feel like it as I write this but there's no Ludo board where I am now hehe.

That's it for my style of playing the Ludo Game, what's your style in playing the game? Or do you prefer to play other board games?

This is my entry to the May Inleo Prompt Challenge with the focus on "Board Games, Strategy, War". Don't know what to write on Hive today? You're invited to participate.
