One Shot, One Focus, Many Words

I had to travel far and wide in my phone gallery to decide which picture I'd share and have more to talk about that anyone would find interesting. Well, it only made sense that I go for a recent picture which happened to be one I took three days.

Before that, it may be of interest to know that I'm not so good with photography and I've only started to take shots again even though not so often. I don't know why I find it hard to make memories with my phone camera but luckily for this topic, I found one that would fit in fine.

There are older photos with lots to share about them but a recent memory in one photo is what I'd love to share. It's a photo that marked the beginning of a new journey for me and I'm very much excited about how the journey would go.

The picture I decided to share is this... My walk, white short and shoe with a sock, a bit of my ID card round my neck, my waist bag and the ground of course.

The main focus or the memory this picture holds is My Service Year beginning. Here in my country, graduates are expected to serve their country for a year before they go on to find employment or do more for themselves. I'm at that stage now even though it took longer than expected, I'm excited to be here finally.

The experience have been more fun and stressful than I thought but kinda different from what I've heard others say about how it is here. Maybe I got lucky with the state camp I am posted to, I am loving the new experiences and hopefully, I'll have more reasons to love it here.

On the day I took the picture, I was feeling very happy as I was on my way to have my breakfast. I'm still wondering how the food flask didn't show in the picture lol. Well, I like the items that showed in it and they notify the start of my service year well enough.

Uniforms are required when you decide to serve so I was on white short and top that day. I had to make sure to take everything needed before I walk around the camp vicinity to avoid punishment so that explains why I had so much on me for this shot. The shot isn't so grand but I like the outcome and the memory it holds.

I know I said "Many words" in my title but that's really all there is to this picture. Many more words will come as I experience more from this new journey and by God's grace, I'll look back to this picture to smile that God has done it for me again and on this journey.

I would have shared a photo of myself that shows more detail of the picture you see now but the topic wants one I took myself so let's leave only this on the post. Rate my professional photography skill that I'm still learning hehe.

Image used is mine

Our service to the country is ultimate and should be done. Though the country don't pay well and always stress their copers, we will give it our best.

Thanks for sharing

It's really bad that many corp members face stress and get small pays.

People always say things about NYSC being difficult but I believe when we get there we get to tell our tales. Enjoy your stay and please keep us updated I can't wait to see more pictures.

Exactly my dear, it may not be as hard as they male it seem or it might be much harder... Either way, your own experience is what you should have and know.

More percentage of past corps talk bad about service but my sister and cousin have shared their good experience of serving the country in another state: well, maybe it depends on state.

I guess service year experiences are personal experience... For some it may go down well with them but with the other it may be rough...
But in all it is good to experience new things.
