Online Friends Are Like Stronger Connections

Talking about online friends, that includes our Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Hive friends... They are all friends we can't see except on photos or may have never met but we found ourselves in the same page online to connect.

About 10 years ago, I found out about an online world where I could find more friends than in my reality... My reality then was always staying or maybe hiding inside the house and afraid to mingle with the excuse of being careful.

Life wasn't so boring living indoors with my family but finding out the online world made life more interesting for me. The first world of online friends I engaged in was 2go, an app that was very popular back then where people chat to raise their levels... I think I was one of those who almost got addicted to it before Facebook came to my knowledge.

I finally got addicted to Facebook instead and I tell you, I connected to almost a thousand people because I found out a new skill in me... Fun to chat with, I just find a way to connect with people very well. I'm sure my business would have grown well if I had started one then 😂

I got a better phone to also be on WhatsApp and I found more chances to grow my online friends, and they keep growing. Some of my reality friends today are result of my online chats with them, and they are still my friends... Not so different from the online connection we had.

I thought I was already into the best online world until I found the blogging world of more friends. I tell you, there are way more better online friends here on Hive if you'd look very well. Facebook, WhatsApp and so many other chatting apps have become filled with fake lives and fake love.

I bet you'd hardly find that here, except I'm choosing to believe that myself. The people here are mostly real because they share their personal activities, and some even share their private lives here... Others connect to them and build stronger connections with them.

So I'll repeat here again, Online Friends are like stronger connections.

Stronger because building a reality friends isn't easy, we do know that... Lots of hurts, and lots of love of course. How much more building online friends, people you can't see to know their expressions when you share an experience with them.

I believe winning a friend online over is like winning two reality friends over, it's more difficult to get online friends but once you win them over... They stick really close.

Before now, I thought it was easier to get online friends though but have you thought of how your online friends really feel when you chat or engage with them? Are they for real? Do they feel the same as you?

Maybe it's same with our reality friends but we can see them so it's really different. So in essence, to build your online friends, you need to be sure to have plans in keeping them close like they are in your reality.

One good way I know of to build your online friends is Consistency

Imagine chatting with a Hiver who posted a really good post that you liked, you guys had some connection and you made so many comments under that post... But after that day, you both go your way to find another Hiver's awesome post to connect with, what do you think has happened to that first spiking connection? Gone!

Well I'm saying, when you feel a connection... Keep in touch again, and again, and again... Something good may out of it for both of you.
I've seen Hivers tagging Hivers for awesome opportunities even when they don't have tag anyone, it is as a result of some connections they've had and are still having.

The sentence "Out of sight, out of mind" also applies to making friends online, when you stop checking up on them through their posts, they forget about you slowly.

So keep up that stronger connection with your consistency, it works.

There are other little things you do to keep your online friends but I believe consistency covers it all. Just have fun and enjoy building that connection.

@iskafan @doziekash @chincoculbert @funshee @peaq to mention a few that I have felt a stronger connection with, love you guys❤️ but I'm planning to increase the number and stay consistent with all of you to the best of my capabilities.

Do you have your stronger connections? Add to the number and stay consistent... Let's build more love around Hive.

This would have been an entry for a contest but I'm not sure if I followed the rules anymore so I'll just submit it as a normal post.

Thanks for reading!!!

Ayeeeeeeeeee...
Thank you @merit.ahama
You also make the list of my few online friends as well.

I'm not big on making friends on Social Media actually (I rarely use my Facebook and Instagram account)but I think with Hive I'm a bit open because of the way the community is structured and the conversations are usually great ones that span across diverse fields.

Great post, I must add.

I hadn't had the opportunity to use 2go, I would have probably gotten addicted too. I am the one human who is addicted to Facebook. I reluctantly use WhatsApp except for status and the fact that the people who know me personally are there.

Hive has changed the dynamic for me too. I have met a lot of people here and I can't wait to meet a lot of more.

You already know you are my number trouble madam, and I will trouble you every time. 😂😂

Your trouble is highly welcomed but don't shout for help when I start mine 😋

Can't we just go to those days where we used to use 2go? Everything was a lot simpler then except for growing your level. I know this milk generation like @iskafan will not be able to relate. The 2go app was a lot faster and easy to access, you could be chatting with 10 different people at once and they still get fast replies.

Hey dear you're right, gaining an online friend is not that easy, and they could actually be in your friend's list and still not be your friend. I have close to 4k friends on facebook but less then 50 are my friends. I've also noticed that some of the most caring and loyal friends I've had, we actually connected online.

I'm glad I made that list, you're a greAt friend @merit.ahama , lively and very supportive, I'll chose you anytime.

Hope you're good my dear

I totally agree with you I find hive leads to more honest and real interaction with people than other social media sights and leads to stronger and more real friendships

Building connections... well, guess I'll follow and see where it goes from here maybe I'll make them same friends, maybe I'll get stronger connections.

Well, I came here through @dreemport but next time I'll be coming here on my own freewill 😁

Said nothing but the truth and, and i strongly agree with all you said. Though I don't use 2GO, both I make use of other online media.

Majority of my close friends that I have is from online,I would have love to tag them but that will be for another day...lol

Majority of times, when I check all my contacts , 80% of them are online friends from different blogging site and I'm glad to come across them. You're also a loving fellow with the little time i spend with you.

I came across your post via @dreemport and I must say that your post is interesting . Keep on hiving 💙

This is one of those things that is going to be up to an individual's preference, as to which is more valuable.
So, this is the way you need to start doing your sourcing:
Andrea Piacquadio is the photographer or owner, so it should be simple:
[Andrea Piacquadio](https://www.pexels.com/photo/woman-in-grey-jacket-sits-on-bed-uses-grey-laptop-935743/) under your photo; that would come out like this: Andrea Piacquadio.
This would take the reader straight to the photo in Pexels.com, so when you are looking at the picture, copy it as usual, but then put this in the white underneath it for sourcing and the owner or photographer does get his name out there and there is a total guarantee that you have the correct rights to use his/her image; that it is not a stock image or one with usage issues. The address in white after his name in the parenthesis is simply the address in the URL above the photo.

Post obtained through Dreemport .
