Very fictional but full of romance and lots of comedy scenes... I'll give this series a 10/10 rating and recommend immediately with no fear that a viewer won't appreciate the recommendation. Well, that would be if the viewer is interested with genres like this. I'd say this is one masterpiece with those genres I've mentioned.

I just concluded the series and the scenes are still replaying in my mind, giving me laughter and smiles hehe. It's even more impressive that it is a North Korea series, I believe some would understand why I say this.

"The Matchmakers" is only a 16 episode series, I wish there were more episodes but it doesn't mean it didn't end perfectly, I didn't want the storyline to end just yet lol. Released in the year 2023, The Matchmakers is casted by the impressive actor, Rowoon who's popular for series like Destined With You, Tomorrow, Extraordinary You and a few others I've seen.

He is joined with my new found favourite Choi Yi-hyun who's the female lead, one I've never noticed before in series especially in All Of Us Are Dead. I'm actually surprised to find out she starred in that series, her acting skill in this series "The Matchmakers" tells me she must have been good but I didn't notice since she wasn't a lead character.

The Matchmakers is about a widower who's wife died on their wedding day and had to live in celibacy for 8 years. He joins forces with a widow to marry single men and women in the Joseon Dynasty. The series also reveals the power of marriage, love and money with a touch of love fiction that you'd say it's perfect for the series.

My favourite part of the series is where the Agent of love sets out to matchmake singles to get married, imagine seeing new love blossom in different ways and different scenes. As they work hard to match the singles, the singles also find their own true love for themselves. I bet you, the series is so full of love and twists that you'll love hehe.

The Agent Of Love is Rowoon but you'd think at first that it is the female lead which isn't far from the truth, they really didn't conclude on that well enough but it's still awesome that Rowoon as an agent of love had a sign he gets to know who are meant to be and not to be.

It's fascinating to see the two matchmakers falling for each other while they try to bring singles together for marriage purposes, the comedy surrounding these scenes are what makes the series even more enjoyable to see.

The characters in their different roles did really well, from the "not so powerful" King to the evil cabinet members to the powerful wife of a left councillor to the three single ladies with different hard issues to deal with in getting them married. They all add up to make the series a memorable one for the viewers.

I can't think of anything I didn't like about the series aside the fact that most of the scenes are quite impossible to happen in real life which makes it very fictional but they are still fun to see, after all it's just for entertainment lol.

I hope you do check the series out especially to the Rowoon fans hehe, as for me, I plan to check out a series I found that the female lead starred in to get more of her. Got any more recommendations for me, would appreciate it.
