Staying Healthy Is Less Expensive
If you would want to look at the inflation of things in the market now, you'd say my title isn't so true but maybe you should visit the nearest hospital to inquire about the amount of money people spend daily to become healthy again.

I'm not saying it's cheap to stay healthy but it is not as expensive to stay healthy as to become healthy again after being sick. So I'm guessing I have your attention now that we've agreed that staying Healthy is less expensive.
One major key to a healthy meal I've learned is to eat the right amount of calories for how active you are. If you know you don't do much after eating, you should take a very little amount of calories but if you do too much work after eating, take a moderate amount.
You burn calories when you work and eating a wide range of food helps to keep your meal balanced. I'll share my feeding habits in these following tips, I hope you learn from my not so good eating habit.
Eat more fibre starchy carbohydrates
I've always thought that eating carbohydrate meals would make me fat, and that time, I was scared of getting fat until I realised I was almost never going to get fat.
Then later on, I learnt that eating meal that are rich in fibre and starchy carbohydrate contain half the calories of fat than we think they do.
We only just need to balance them with little amount of fats like oil in chip, butter on bread or your sauce on pasta.
Eat lots of fruits and vegetables
One of the healthy tips I'm never lacking on is taking of fruits and vegetables, I actually enjoy them so much that I add them to almost all my meal especially vegetables.
Fruits are a regular when I'm out to buy stuffs from the market. Taking fruits or vegetables in different varieties daily is ideal for a healthy body.
I can't say I do take them that regular but I try my best to keep up even by taking fruit juice after I learnt about the right amount to take daily.
Eat more fish, eat less salt
Too bad, I'm a lover of meat and I can go a whole week without taking fish. It's not that I don't enjoy fish but if I'm to chose between fish and meat, I go for the meat.
Oily fish are said to be high in Omega-3 fats and this helps one to prevent any kind of health disease.
I've witness what too much salt intake can do to a human (Causes high blood pressure) so I've learnt to watch my intake of salt.
Get active and stay hydrated
It's a popular tip to exercise for health keeping but so many still fail at this and that includes me. Exercise have proven to help reduce the risk of getting serious health conditions.
Thanks to the last @dreemport challenge, I've been able to add a new habit to my list and that is taking enough water anytime daily.
Getting active through exercise and drinking plenty of fluids (water or juice or soup) will help one keep healthy and hydrated.
Other little tips include...
Do not skip breakfast and try to slow down while eating to make sure you ate well.
Try to increase your protein intake, you can take other classes of food to make a balanced diet but it's better to take more protein.
Cook at home more often, try out at least one new healthy recipe per week.
Get a good night sleep... Does this in any way relate to how we eat to keep healthy? Yes, your night meals should be light and make sure to sleep well to get a good result.
And that is all I can say about eating to stay healthy and vibrant, you can share more in the comment section.
Thanks for reading!!!
Medical bills have a way of making one reconsider their lifestyle. 😂😁🥲
With the way medications are even following the market trends and increasing in price.
I am so much of a fruits and vegetable eater. You want to bribe me ehn, other than with meat, just bring fruits and plantain, you're good to go.
We're on this train together. I love fish too, but in an all-you-can-eat buffet, you would find more varieties of meat than fish on my plates (why use one plate in an all-you-can-eat...)
Eating and living healthy is so underrated. It is practically the best way to live with less health issues.
Thanks for sharing @merit.ahama
As in ehn, how can someone be paying millions for only bed space before they start calculating what would be paid for the medical attention? That's suicide for one who is lacking nau
That is cool but I'm not so sure about the plantain part if it isn't ripe 🙄 which do you enjoy most?
Hahaha abi o, plates suit in better 😅
That's so true, I think the world needs to visit the hospital every week and stay reminded if it has to get to that 😅
You get it...😌
Ripe one, please.
A constant reminder is important
Haha then we're on the same page 😅 I love ripe plantains like crazy!
We're on the winning page. 💪💪
Crazy na understatement abegg. 😎
It is only vexing to see it become expensive everywhere.
Plantain and eggs o, with beans o, plantain chips...
Just put plantain in any form on my plate and I will pray for you. 🤤😌
Getting hydrated does not only help our digestion but also helps our internal organs very much especially the kidney.
When I talk with some of the patients about the hospital bills, I always hear them lamenting of how they would have used the money for food in paying medical bills.
Oh I'm glad I have you to agree to the fact that spending to stay healthy is way more cheaper than spending to becom well again
If I were to choose between meat and fish, I will always choose meat and I cook it more than fish and when I see that the meat is getting too much, I go for fish but reading many articles about this topic, I was made to know that eating red meat can be dangerous to the health, and it is better to go for white meat like chicken and turkey. Now, I think I need to stop eating meat because I believe I will be okay, especially replacing it with chicken and turkey. We should just be mindful of the food we eat especially knowing the right proportion of food to take into our bodies. Thank you for sharing.
Yeah, I read that too about eating more of white meats than red meats. I hope I get disciplined enough to do that.
Very interesting your view of healthy easting habits with financal management 👌👌👌
It's been really surprising and fun to read all the different answers to this question 😊

I agree that we should eat lots of veggies and fruits. Reducing oil or eating oil with very low cholesterol is good too. Lots of water replenishes the skin. Great work, dear
Yeah, you're right!
Good advice! Thank you, @merit.ahama
