For Radiant Hair - My DIY Hair Treatment

avatar

Hello DIY community, it's my first time and a pleasure to write to this community. I would have introduced myself in the light of "Being a DIY person" but I'd be lying a little as I find a little hard to get to do stuffs for myself by myself haha. But one thing is sure, I'm a huge fan of people who create things for themselves and think a lot outside the box.

This community is showcasing a lot of them and for once in my Hive journey, I'm happy to be among these persons as I've succeeded in making something for myself without actually going to buy the already made one.

I am a lady with a long hair, well I consider my hair to be long even if it's way too shorter than many I've seen lol. Taking care of my hair is a habit that I am nurturing and this is me doing something in that regard for my hair.

I read online that some ingredients mixed together would be a catalyst for my hair growth and would make it grow even too long that I'd want to stop the treatment sometime after using it. Well, I don't buy the exaggerated marketing but I researched more to learn that the ingredients are really good for my hair looks so I decided to make one for myself.

My DIY hair treatment has these ingredients and I shared the benefit of each of them...

  • Garlic: As shown in the video, I used 3 cloves of garlic, peeled the skin off for use. Garlic promises to nourish hair roots, adds shine and elasticity to hair strands.

  • Onions: I also peeled off the skin and cut it into small pieces for use. Onions provide extra sulfur to support hair, preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth.

  • Coffee: This is a rare ingredient to me when I found out I could use it on my hair and it promises boosts hair growth, reduces hair loss, darkens hair texture.

I could have been able to use Cloves too but I couldn't get some when I needed it, cloves also restore radiant shine on your hair which is one I'd love for my hair.

Procedure for the hair treatment...

I want to believe the video is detailed enough to show the procedure of how I made my hair treatment myself with the help of my sis who took the shot and also helped me sprayed the content into my hair after it was ready.

Since it took too long time to wash off and show after wash, I couldn't add that in the video but that isn't the main focus for this post. The focus is that, I can make my hair treatment myself and the result is good enough for me. Hopefully, with time, my hair would grow even much better if I continue this treatment.

I've only done it twice and I like how shiny it makes my hair looks, this is an old pic of my hair but I felt I should share a pic of my hair since we're about my hair treatment.

I hope the video is quite understandable, I added some texts for easier view alongside a music of one of my favourite artist, Sia titled Cheap Thrills from my music playlist. Let me know what you think about my DIY treatment.

The treatment is really nice, I'm actually happy we found such a simple recipe, I hope it works well and maybe next time we will add the cloves and see what it adds to the treatment.

It was nice watching how we did it in the video, hehe

(Edited)

I hope so too, I've only used it twice and the first appearance after wash is nice. Hopefully, it would be more effective as I continue to use it.

It's twice a week. I prepare the treatment twice a week, you can use and keep for another use.

Wow, this is really cool. @princess-dara, I think you should check this out.

Applying natural herbs and root to the hair definitely helps it grow. Thanks for sharing this lovely recipe with us.

Onions and garlic are both good for the hair and scalp same with coffee, it reduces breakage and darkens the hair while it gives ot shine. Nice combination, but I think adding a deep conditioner and a leave-in conditioner to your hair routine will do a great job as onions and garlic could also be a little harsh in the hair if not conscious. You could add clove too, great for hair but you have to be careful, they are all harsh and could turn something else.

But you are in the right part, kudos to your hair journey wish.
