The Bartenders - The Inkwell Prompt #92

Jack, Fred, Bill and Tom are four friends who lived under the care of Mrs George, a kind woman who took them in from the orphanage when she lost her husband and son to an accident. The four friends were not surprised that they were adopted together as they had always been friends since the day they could speak to each other.

Mrs George did a great job to take care of them like her sons but she struggled later when her business went bankrupt. She owned one of the most popular bars in the city but never taught her sons how the business works because she felt they deserved better.

Out of disappointment and grief, Mrs George fell ill and had to give her only inheritance to her sons, her house and the bar. The four friends turn brothers were eighteen when they lost their foster mother but they took on the responsibility to take care of her business in their most inefficient way.

As the popularity was no longer there, the four brothers decided to find new customers. The ideas they got to tend to the bar was merely out of all they heard and had seen their mother do when she was alive. Fred, the eldest of them was also good with researching and coming up with good ideas even though they were never sure of it's outcome at first.

The four bartenders became the talk of the town as they turned out to be very handsome, kind and strong. People gave good reviews for their bar and the popularity came back up like it had been before. They were managers of the bar but they were much better in tending the bar. Bill once gave a good speech of how much he enjoyed pouring drinks to his customers to see how happy they are.

Everything was well and good for them amidst some struggles and setbacks which they kept going through with the help of each other. As time went by, they became too good for the job but it only made their business continue to grow. They sent money monthly to the orphanage they once lived and they continued to live happily together.

It was until Fred's mother showed up and announced his inheritance from his father and how much they've been searching for him, the four friends had to let one of their friends go. Even though they promised to see each other, Fred got too busy learning about his family's lifestyle and later became President of the country.

A few months later on one cool evening, Fred came to the bar and found his friends laughing as they drank their favourite beer. He realized how much he had missed them and his duty as the research man among them. The four friends felt so happy to be reunited again like nothing happened.

Fred, a president of the country forgot his position immediately he got into the bar and served some costumers drink which he smiled to them so kindly. This act got the bar to reign for a long time as the "Selfless brothers bar" in the city.

One after the other, they got married to women who also helped them to stay as brothers till their old age. They went on vacations together giving tips on how to run bars to people who heard about their popular bar that lived for as long as they've been brothers.

Aww!! What a lovely story.. even though their foster mother never thought them how to handle the bar.. they later learnt how to do it properly..
I think parents should teach their kids about their business early incase of eventuality.. Thanks for sharing dear

Very imaginative story, @merit.ahama. The foster siblings were very lucky and together they are a beautiful source of goodness. Thanks for writing for The Ink Well and for your presence in other stories.
