The COMedy Rumble - Ladies, let's talk
Of course, you men can talk too but only in our favour if you know what I mean. So here is the thing...
I had prepared very carefully for a presentation I had to do some years back and everything was perfect enough to get me past that period of the presentation with style and pride.
I was putting on a new wear I bought because of the presentation, a yellow skirt and a black blouse... You needed to see how gorgeous I was on it, I was beautiful! (I'm still beautiful now though 🙄)
I got to the place for the presentation, every other person present there were going on well with their own presentations. Some were funny, some made me nervous that I wouldn't be able to do mine as well as theirs.
My number on the queue was very long, but I'm sure you'll understand that I was happy it was so I could get more tips from how the others did theirs. I never knew I would have preferred I did mine early enough.
It was just about two numbers to my turn and something happened!!!
My egg burst and it was that time of the month to face life as the lady I was made of
It actually came in earlier than expected so I didn't make any preparations for it and you can tell from what I wore for the presentation... Colorful skirt that would reflect any stain made on it.
I sat down on the seat where I was, unsure if I should stand up to go check myself and hold the flow from staining my clothes or I sit back and never stand up.
One thing with this unexpected flow, it rushes faster than normal or is it just mine?
Well, it finally got to my turn to present and I was summoned by my name... I turned into a dumb that can't speak, I just sat there with a strong heart that I would not move from my seat except everyone else has left the hall.
I decided to give an excuse that I wasn't feeling well and won't be able to do mine that day, the people in charge got annoyed but I didn't care... I had a reputation to protect more than some presentation.
After the others were done and I could still feel my blood as if it was emptying it's tank to my newly bought skirt, everyone began to go home and I remained unmoved until it was just me in the hall then I stood up.
There was no stain but it had started 😏
So ladies (and guys of course), am I the only who thinks this stuffs needs to give us an alert before it begins anywhere it wants to? Maybe an itch on the ass or a tear drop involuntarily from the eyes to signal us that it's almost time just so we could take the necessary precautions.
Even stuffs falling from our hands should mean it's almost time too... Just any sign please
I've thought about this over and over and I also think aside getting pregnant and reaching menopause, ladies should be given a break from this sickness especially the pain, a month of pain free flow... How blessed that would feel!
Sometimes I could feel myself getting jealous of my grandmother, am I the only one?
Getting pregnant isn't a total cure and even pregnancy has its own headaches and sicknesses that comes with it... An alert will just be perfect for this to avoid circumstances where you disgrace all you've been trying to hide, don't you think?
Who else also think that ladies should be given extra care during their period days? Like it should be a no work period, eat only period and a lying down period for us 😑
This is just me thinking out loud and I need answers to that part of getting an alert to unexpected flows...

It sure differs in Ladies o because mine never comes at the time I calculated... Sometimes, it will come a week before (isn't that too long?)
Honestly, y'all should really be pampered. I've seen videos where guys attempt to take the pain and end up crying. Every lady should be pampered on their periods. Every guy should be pampered on their periods too, all lives matter

Now I know why we have Mother’s Day and Women day but only Father’s Day for men. All women are to be celebrated.

It's not easy at all for us ladies, you were so scared to check because you thought it was pumping so fast and you should have stained your new wears.
It happens to almost all the ladies, we just really need an alarm or something oo 😂

😂😂😅 i totally agree. Like we need an alarm for this thing because the rate at which it causes embarrassment is alarming. But you try to sit there till the end.

I don't like it either and can't wait for when I reach menopause. Haha. For now, mine gives sign, not the sign for the day it will start but the period it will. So that period, I ensure that I have my pads in my bag. Again if I have somewhere important to go that period, like that your presentation day, I would put on a pad, so as to be confident. If in the end it gets wasted, it's better than being taken unawares.
Again always circle the date in your calendar, that way you know when the next is coming and stay vigilant. Pimples on the face, pains on the nipples, stomach pain are other signs you should look at for.

Being a woman is not easy at all
Well, I think this unexpected flows happened to all of us in some point of our lifes. Unregular menstruations are harder to predict however....
I would say our body does gives its alerts before it begins but we usually are too busy in our lives to notice. The truth is our menstrual cycle as a deep connection with our health overall (mentally and physically) and our body is very clever in that way! The signs are there, we just need to learn how to interpet them, observe them with love and be thankful for them :)

Oh really? I guess I have to be more conscious when the signs come in because I hardly feel signs except the obvious ones where I feel stomach aches and have a pimple on the face 😒

I know a few good book about menstrual health but only in portuguese... I'll see if I can find some good authors about it in english!

For me, I get the sign it is coming few days to the real day and if at all I would be going on during that moment, I still would use a pad in case it happens and that would save me from expecting it suddenly. Though sometimes it falls at the accurate time of thinking it will show that day and most times I ended up wasting a pad but I don't care 😂😂😂
I love to get myself prepared if I am going out and I know the sign is here. You can try that though. Wasting a pad for a day is better than embarrassing yourself 😆😆

Wow, what a bad time, I can't imagine how uncomfortable you must have felt. I think that if you keep track of the days, as it is a cycle, maybe it can help. Well, it helps a bit when you don't want the girl to get pregnant. I worked for a long time with my first partner. Although uncomfortable at the time, today it becomes fun. Excellent friend.
