The COMedy Rumble - Nigerian movies will be like...

There are many good reasons I prefer spending my time to see Korean, American, Mexican, Philippines, Indian movies... Name them (any outside Nigeria movies) than spending a few seconds to see a Nigerian movie.

Don't get me wrong, I'm proud of them but what do you do when every title turns you off and when you manage to see it, you end up predicting how it will all end... And then they will not prove you wrong and act the scenes differently.

I think that takes away the fun of seeing a movie (Suspense and good feeling). Nigerian movies were my favourite at childhood until I experienced seeing another country's movie, I felt a bit of a shame and had a resolve to see only movies from outside my country.

But I guess as a Nigerian, we can't say we haven't seen some Nigerian movies no matter how much we don't wish to see any... I mostly see a Nigerian movie when I want to laugh and I don't have a latest Korean drama to see or download to see.

Here is what I've gathered about my country movies... My fellow Nigerians, you can just affirm to them if you've seen a similar movie.

Their movie soundtrack can be very confusing

The movie may start with a sweet soundtrack displaying those who would be starring and you'll be excited a bit. Then it starts by showing a girl walking in a path but a soundtrack that feels like a big animal is behind her and wants to eat her up.

Only for you to keep watching, she will start singing and the soundtrack changes... It isn't even as confusing as the others I've seen.

Soundtracks during some conversations at a dinner date will be sounding like you're seeing a scene where an evil ritual is being carried out.

The Ghost scenes are something else

I once saw a movie where the lady died with braided hair. She was to act as a ghost throughout the movie, this lady died and started walking around with Brazilian hair. Is it that they sell hairs in the spirit world too?

You will also see movies where the ghost changes their wears for different scene... I guess ghosts are supposed to have a wardrobe.

Those scenes where ghosts fights with living humans still baffles me whenever I see it... Like physical fight that two living humans will not even fight.

Their death scenes are so unreal

How can an actor die and still have a heartbeat that is even beating very fast and obvious to you the viewer. Even if the actor couldn't hold their breath, what ever happened to the display work on the movie? Is there no way they could make it more real?

I remember a movie I saw a very long time ago that I don't think I'll ever forget if I'm to talk about the worse Nigeria movie I've seen. The man died and his wife was shaking his body in attempt to wake him up not believing that he is dead.

The already dead man turned to balance himself well on the floor and continued acting dead, like what just happened?!!! 😑

Who asked Nigerians to release animal character movies?

Have you seen any Nigerian movie where an animal is a character in the movie? The ones I've seen mostly is that, the animal is a god to the people in a village and they worship it for cleansing and other reasons.

One I saw, the animal was a snake. Aren't snake supposed to crawl on the floor? This snake was standing tall to talk to his people, even the camera was shaking anytime they were to show the snake... Who are they deceiving with a bad snake toy?

Animal character movies are the worse for me to see in Nigerian movies but they are just the best for me in other country movies.

I know there are more errors in Nigerian movies but I'll stop here and leave the floor open for more of them.

This is my entry for The COMedy Rumble and I'll like to invite @evegrace and @iskawrites to participate too.

Hahaha, Nigerian movies are blast, lol. That part when someone will be walking along the road and you will be hearing soundtracks that don't even match on bit, ah!! We should just try and calm down oo, I'm happy they are improving now 😂😂.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Seriously, I stopped watching Yoruba movies because I would already predict what will happen in the end mere seeing the title and they don't fall my hand.

How can a ghost be eating food? 😂😂😂 Many things I have seen and has put me off from watching Yoruba movies.

At least I still enjoy Indian movies even though their own too much 🤣🤣🤣🤣

A lady wants to fall down, and a guy from a far distance would see her and start running to save her from falling 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Our movie industries ehn.... This is why I enjoy watching Action and Horror movies

I don't watch Nigerian movies at all.. I just don't find them entertaining. Too many unnecessary edits and the storyline is most foggy. How can someone be beating up a ghost?? How abeg??

Hahahaha..... I'm dying here.... No mind them. When they knew they are not expert on this, they would have gone to learn from them. Snake standing tall and can talk. Heheheh....
