What Barbie Taught Me and What Life Corrected

I'll be attempting both questions because I think they are very much connected with the response I'll be giving. After I read the questions, my mind just thought back to my childhood days, the times I'm slowly forgetting and I am really grateful to be reminded of those times right now.

My childhood was a really fun one whenever I think back to the memories I can still remember clearly. I had amazing siblings who seemed to always love what I love and we spent most of our times together and did literally everything together, even singing and sleeping at same time.

My favourite fairy tale story is very much connected to a collection of movies my siblings and I saw a lot growing up, it's called "Barbie". It's an animation movie that came with different stories so dad always bought new collections of different stories especially and always at request.

If there is one thing about "Barbie" stories to every person who have seen any of the stories, it's "Royalty". I totally loved and believed in being royal to live a restricted but beautiful life. I especially loved the idea of being of more help to others through royalty, falling in love non-royally.

I can still remember the story of "The Princess and The Pauper", it's my second favourite after "Barbie and the Diamond Castle" and they all gave the same kind of energy that I really loved and believed growing up, "you can trust and be yourself and things will always work out for you".

Now, to the thing I believed as a child that wasn't true later, it is thinking things will always work out. Barbie, in all the stories, may have faces a few obstacles on the way to her transformations but they were all portrayed to look so easy until I grew up to experience them firsthand, they're not.

I still think those beliefs I had growing up were beautiful but the real world today and who I am becoming understands better that not all things are true even though they once felt true. I know I can still be myself and trust who I am becoming but I also know not everything has to work out.

And it's totally fine because a lot of what I know today and most of what have helped me grow is from experiences that taught me lessons that I wouldn't have learned if I never experienced something bad or unfortunate. Now, they are not as bad as it felt when they happened back then.
