What Meeting Old Friends Mean

Yesterday was an interesting and blessed day for me. So many amazing things happened but the most unforgettable was meeting an old friend of mine.

One may wonder why this post about it, I'll tell you why it's important you read this.

Life has kept people so busy that we grow out of time with our friends... No wonder they say "10 friends can't be friends for 10 years" because some may move out and even some may feel too big or small to be part of that friendship. It shouldn't be so but can we help it?

This is why it would be nice to meet old friends once in a while and if you can't, keep in touch with them if it's possible. Every friend is a blessing, so I believe. I have the believe that I meet people because God has ordained it to happen and I am meeting or knowing friends because of what I will learn from them or what they will learn from me even if some may hurt me along the way.

Well, that's not what I want to focus on. You've had friends who at one point in time were very close to each other, doing things together and you may had even gone to the extent of planning your future together as friends... But presently, you aren't together with those friends but luckily, you keep in touch with some.

This is a friend of mine who I have known for almost 6years and still counting. How we met and got to know each other is still kinda a mystery to me because I'm not focused on how we met but how far we can go together.

I remember we played a lot together, helped each other in so many ways and also had our heats and cold but in all, it was a friendship very dear to me.

That picture you see there was taken four years ago when I went to visit her at her workplace. She was so happy to see me like it's been long we saw each other last. She is so jovial, nice and fun to be with... We kinda match each other very well. She's the first extrovert friend I've had since I started taking note of my friends and I'm kinda an introvert 😌 so we do match very well.

This is my friend and I yesterday when we finally meet after four years 😳 even I was surprised at the difference between then and now, a beautiful difference and same friendship.

We kept hugging each other countless times when we saw each other yesterday, we shared memorable times even though we were meeting for a brief time. We took pictures, she sent some kdrama movies to me (we both love same kind of movies 😊) then she went back home. It was so memorable to be with her once again.

It's obvious we've been keeping in touch but it was amazing that we got to see each other again, it kinda paid it off that I always check up on her and she does same too.

What Meeting an old friend again means to me...

Life is a journey of meeting people who would add and change your life either for good or bad... It's important to choose who they will be and stick with them. Those friends will show you if you made the right choices.

Meeting old friends is bringing back old memories of good and bad times, making you feel more grateful. Being grateful is a happy feeling that they would bring to you once again.

Meeting old friends show your growth, if you've improved or not. My friend and I had a lot of things improved in our lives and we were so grateful when we saw each other again. I believe this is one of the essence of friendship too.
