A Beautiful Sun Setting Scene at the New Danube, Vienna

Hello Cloud hunters and Lovers!

This is my entry to Love The Clouds #178 challenge of @tobetada. This was taken last June 24 on my way home to the Subway. It was a cooler afternoon as it was cloudy and I got the chance to take pics before the clouds disappear. The venue had been the New Danube in Vienna.

I am a cloud hunter through and through and everytime I see clouds like these, I always snap them with my phone camera. Smartphones are a big help when one is on the go. It is light and simple to use than tagging along a DLSR that is about 3 kilos in weight.

There had been a cool air sweeping on that day and I thought it would rain because of the dark cloud formations, but it did not and sometimes the sun peaked once and gave the skies these colors. I shot this at sunset.

Those are beautiful clouds. Looks like rain clouds. But as you said it didn't rain. Maybe the wind blew it away and it poured in other areas.

Yes, the wind was blowing hard that day and I was glad it didn't rain because the way to the subway had been long .. thanksfor stopping by.

These are beautiful photos! I love the way the clouds are lit up by the setting sun. The colors are amazing, and the composition of the photos is really well done.

I can see why you're a cloud hunter. There's something really special about watching the clouds change shape and color as the day goes on. And I agree, smartphones are a great way to capture these moments. They're always with you, and they're easy to use.

Indeed, clouds are fascinating to hunt. I'm in Southern Spain atm and last week there were no clouds at all. The skies were blue as well as the Mediterranean Sea. But this week the clouds begin to show up and I've got amazing images. The cloud formations here are very unique I could say because I live on the mountain overlooking the sea and one can just capture nice photos of them. I am sharing this one example.. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
