THE STORY

This is a story of a bleak, gloomy, chaotic and cyber-punky future. In 2052, an AI known as Titan was living up to its main directive of protecting the planet. However, it came to the equation in Titan's programming that humans were the ones destroying the planet, and so he decided to act on it and took control of all machines in a snap and eradicated most of the human population, and enslaved what's left of it.

But, alas, a group of survivors were able to hide for 30 years without being detected by Titan's robot army on a secret base. This group of 2000 of more or less humans, though in hiding, were training and honing their extra human abilities until the time that they can be ready to fight the despotic Titan and his army of machines and robots.

Then one day the alliance of surviving humans saw a weakness in the communications system of Titan. This gave the humans hope. With the knowledge they have now, they can now prepare and strike at the machine army.

Thus the war of Man Versus Machine has begun...

So there is a similarity with Terminator movie theme on this but the twist here is that the surviving humans are imbued with extra human skills enabling them to go toe-to-toe fighting with machines.

Actually, I've written about Tezo Trooperz previously but during that time there wasn't much clear information as much as available now. Back then the whitepaper wasn't as updated now. The game is still about to launch. But now more developments have been disclosed.

GAMEPLAY

As per the number of Gen-0 mintable Tezo Trooperz, a total of 2000 Tezo Trooperz will be up for grabs. So far 1660/2000 have been minted. There are still a few available Gen-0s for minting. I will put links at the end of the article, so don't worry. Gen-0s are unkillable, meaning, the first generation of Tezo Trooperz are perpetual game characters. The next generations afterwards will be killable, so really if you can try to get a hold of a Gen-0 Tezo Trooperz, it will be worth it especially in the long run.

After securing your Tezo Trooperz NFT(s), you will have to shelter your Tezo Trooperz at Echo(human base) to earn the much coveted $REBL tokens. However, there is a tax system in place, and so depending on your Tezo Trooperz's salary grade, the amount of guaranteed $REBLs will vary.

Basically, it's like your Tezo Trooperz have a paycheck. The paychecks are claimable at least every three days. It's up to you if you want to claim every three days diligently or you can hold on to them much longer before claiming. There's a caveat though, the more frequently you claim, the higher chances your paycheck will be hijacked or stolen. Let me get back to this part a bit later.

Each Tezo Trooperz would fall into a certain classification, a Warrior, a Long Range, a Troop Leader, and a King or Queen. This classification is important because each class has a different salary grade, so to speak.

It follows the King/Queen will have a greater amount of claimable $REBL tokens through a tax system. $REBL is the currency that will be used in the game. The Kings/Queens are the most powerful in terms of abilities too. The machines are actually wary of Kings/Queens and so they are the most sought after targets of the enemy.

Actually the Kings and Queens are the ones implementing the tax system, and so all Kings and Queens will share all the taxes collected, so this will not be a fixed figure since only those who claimed are going to be taxed. During claiming time, all Kings and Queens will have an initial stats of 15% probability of having their tokens stolen by the machines.
queens_sample

Should you have an unfortunate day and got your King's or Queen's paycheck stolen, 50% of the stolen moolahs are gonna be burned, 25% going to the Machine's Citadel, and the other 25% goes to the Alliance Bank. The Alliance Bank is where the $REBL Bakers will stand to gain from investing on the game.

I think this is a nice feature because it means it is not always the bakers that will profit. The bakers will gain money only if a claim was botched. Then again, for Kings and Queens, the percentage rate of having a stolen paycheck is kind of low at 15%.
troop_leaders_sample
After the Kings/Queens are the Troop Leaders. Troop Leaders are the ones who organizes raids and missions. Each Troop Leader will have a chance to accumulate 10 $REBL coins PER DAY. But since there is a tax imposed on all Trooperz, Troop Leaders are only gonna get 90% of their total paycheck. Then to make things fun, there is always a 20% chance of getting hoodwinked in parting with your $REBL coins on the moment of claiming.

Oh, by the way, only staked Kings and Queens can earn though, so when you attempt to claim, that means you have to unstake, and you will not have a share of the pooled tax levies while being unstaked.

Again, same with the King and Queens, when your troop leader suffers a claiming misfortune, 50% of the stolen salary are gonna be burned, 25% going to the Machine's Citadel, and the other 25% goes to the Alliance Bank.

Next to the Troop Leaders comes the Long Range Trooperz. Long Ranges are more effective in a distance combat. They can take out enemy machines from a distance. Being a rank lower than Troop Leaders, Long Range Trooperz are only gonna get 7 $REBL coins per day, with 30% chances of getting robbed upon claiming, and taking home only 85% of paycheck since Long Ranges have a 15% tax rate.

And the last, and you could say the least, are the Warriors. The warriors are hand-to-hand combat experts. They are like the foot soldiers. The Warriors can only earn 5 $REBL tokens per day. Like the Long Range Trooperz, they also are imposed a 15% salary tax, and so can only take home 85% of total paycheck. Warriors though are more prone to claiming hazards because there is a 40% chance the enemy can steal them on claiming.

Source

My personal insight on this is, it seems the problem will be is more likely on warriors and long ranges, probability wise, because of their higher chances of getting robbed when claiming. Given are that you can claim every three days, and that the less frequent you claim, the higher the chances you'll have a successful claim. So most likely the game will be designed to punish more those frequent claimers, like those that claim every three days, but also statistically speaking, you are more likely to have a money heist scenario if the more times you are claiming. But there is always a chance of getting hijacked on every claim, so if you claim less frequently, like say once a month, then you are still at risk of losing all your month's paycheck, right?

So I think the balance here would be to claim every 7 days or once a week.

However, the game devs just fresh off the oven introduced and announced something really cool and neat. They introduced two weeks ago about the potions, and last night they announced the syringe.

This is very welcome development because when a Tezo Trooperz inject 5 potions, it can increase their intelligence stats by 1 point. Intelligence stats is the one that determines the chance of whether having your money stolen or not during claim time. The higher intelligence stats you have, the less the incidences of your paycheck getting scammed.

Also up on the roadmap of the game will be the ability of each Tezo Trooperz to to farm and hunt for resources. On top of that, each Tezo Trooperz will also have specialized crafting abilities as the game progresses.

There are so many facets to this game that is not enough to cover in one post without overloading too much on the reader, so probably I'll leave this link to lead you to the source directly. Here is the updated whitepaper of the game: https://tim-18.gitbook.io/tezotrooperz-guide/introduction/preface

HONEST ASSESSMENT

This game is not trying to be cute. Probably targeting more mature gamers, the 16 and up age group. At the start it's gonna be more on improving the levels of your Tezo Trooperz, then as more players join in, more exciting developments will happen. My opinion is they will make it like so to avoid the pitfalls of other games getting monotonous and repetitive.

The feature where your coins are gonna get stolen, and then 50% of those stolen coin being burned is what is gonna make this game sustainable. There will be missions doable doing solo and there will be missions needing other players, so I guess this will have a big potential in game longevity with so many game dynamics in the mix.

Another point I want to stress is that since claiming are done at least every three days, so I guess for those with not so much time on their hands, they can readily play this and just make a claim every a few days or so. Plus I have to also say that total supply of coin as per the website's tokenomics is only gonna be a billion $REBL coins, a good number if I may say so.

Lastly, I want to say that I truly find the artwork so good, and so aside from just being mere game NFTs, they are collectible NFTs as well.

EXTRAS

Minting is still live and XTZ coins are dirt cheap now, so this is the best time to get in and own a Gen-0 Tezo Trooperz. Should you be interested to mint now, I think today has a promo where you mint 3 you get a free syringe, but only for today. Hopefully it gets extended for newcomers. To mint, just click this link: https://www.tezotrooperz.com/mint#Mint.

Don't forget to join Tezo Trooperz discord channel too once you minted. We have just-for-fun poker nights, and cool prizes can be won by poker winners: https://discord.gg/YaGWXnvr

Then, for the collectors out there, we have what we call the Alphas. There are six of them. The Alphas are like Kings and Queens, but according to devs there are more features on owning them. These Alpha Trooperz are also a tribute to cool characters.
