Trooperz Genesis On Course To The Moon

Hi gamers!!!

Just wanted to do a sort of an update on this game. I blogged about this Tezos-based NFT game 20 days ago. On my last blog, I just introduced the game a little and wasn't live yet around that time. But, now, the game is live, and so many new exciting things were added.

It's really just a clicking game (think of mafia wars if you know that game or Rising Star game on Hive) but since it's a play-to-earn game, you get to earn from those clicks. The earnings you get are in the form of T-Coins, the in-game currency. T-Coins can then be swapped to XTZ via Quipu Swap.

Trooperz is one of those projects that are doing very well despite present market conditions. Despite lackluster trading activities on the NFT market, Trooperz was able to sell out and proceeded to live game. For a time, several days ago, just before going live up to a week after going live, the Trooperz NFTs floor prices were briefly at around 1.5 XTZ to 2 XTZ if I'm not mistaken, but now it's back to 5 XTZ. Mint prize was 4 XTZ. In comparison to most NFTs that were launched a few months back, floor prizes are really looking bleak, but Trooperz NFTs are staying above mint.

The pic below are the details of actual sales as shown on OBJKT Marketplace OBJKT Marketplace.

As you can see you'll see some sold for 5 XTZ and some were sold for 10 XTZ. I think because the game went live and players loving the game is gonna push it some more. People who have leveled up their Trooperz NFTs, logically, are not gonna sell them low because they are earning T-Coins now.

HOW TO PLAY THE GAME

First of all, you will need to get at least one Trooperz NFT. To get one, go here: https://objkt.com/explore/tokens/1?faContracts=KT1BYKSPZxtmLQrJKZW455qzvKbsTGrcuuAR&sort=last_listed:desc.

Because the game is getting more exciting, listing has gone up. If you look at the asking prices, I think 7.88 XTZ to 10 XTZ would be the cheapest ones at the moment. But if you call now... I mean, if you buy now, it is the best time because XTZ is down. You can buy XTZ at any major central exchanges. Currently XTZ is at $1.35. XTZ can usually go up in no time. At $2, it would mean, the Trooperz NFTs would have increased by 48%.

Now assuming you bought one, you are now ready to go training and doing missions.

To start training and doing missions, you will have to go to the game's site, then sync your wallet to connect your NFT to the game. Once connected, you can then go to the Your Trooperz page and click on your Trooperz.

Training Mode is what you click if you want to level up your Trooperz. The higher level your insanely cute Trooperz are, the more missions you can do.

Mission Mode is what you click if you want to earn T-Coins. The missions you can do will depend on your level, and also on the stats of your Trooperz. Once you click on mission, the available missions available for your Trooperz will come out. The higher level missions you have, the higher the payout is. And so this is where training and doing missions will matter because if you want higher payouts, you have to invest on training your Trooperz too.

Rest on the other hand is equally important because when you do training and missions you are gonna spend energy. The energy will not come out off of thin air, you have to rest the Trooperz to replenish energy.

The first mission is a mission that everyone can do, so not gonna dwell on that much.

The second mission is almost the same as the first one but you'll have to walk on more dangerous parts of T-City. You need to be level 4 at least to do this mission. As you can see, payout now increased to 0.0006 per block x Lvl Bonus from 0.0004. Lvl Bonus means if a level 2 and a level 5 Trooperz both do this mission at the same time, the Level 5 Trooperz will receive a much higher amount of T-Coins cause that Level 5 Trooperz will have a higher multiplier.

The third mission is not for every Trooperz. On my first blog I talked about it's much better to get a Trooperz with a T-Bot. This is why, because some missions will require a T-Bot, and this mission pays way, way higher than the first two.

Some missions are based on your Trooperz gang affiliation. There are four gangs namely: Aki, Kabu, Shibu and Juku. These gang exclusivity missions are rotated weekly. This week, the Juku mission is up. Juku is the gang that specializes in hacking.

You will know what gang your Trooperz are affiliated with by the symbol behind them.

The Kabus are the ones with triangle symbol. They are the arms dealers and smugglers. So missions of these nature are gonna be reserved for Trooperz of the Kabu gang.

The ones with a pink circle behind them belong to the Shibu clan. The Shibus are assassins. No mission yet pertaining to Shibu clan members have been released.

The Aki clan is the one specializing on con jobs and scamming. Only Aki members can do missions requiring the rectangular symbol.

The last one is the Juku clan. Jukus are represented by the diamond shape emblem. I already mentioned they are the hackers. This week, the Jukus have an advantage because they alone can do the gang-specific mission of the week. But you have to have your Juku to level 6 before qualifying for the mission though.

So far, the last kind of mission deployed by the game devs is based on skills stats. Each Trooperz have a listing of their stats. The four stats are: hacking, trickery, close combat and firearms. From 1 to 10 each skill are measured with 10 being the perfect and most ideal stats to see.

So this week, the mission that is up right now based on skills stats is those with high class combat stats. Your Troopers will need to have at least a score of 8 for the close combat skill and should be at least level 6.

Look at the Trooperz below. He satisfies the score of 8 on the close combat skill. But if he's not Level 6, he will still not be able to do the mission. Again, to go to Level 6, this will require training.

In summary of the missions, you have to balance resting, training and missions based on your squad's capabilities.

As the game progresses, more missions will come out. The highest level a Trooperz can get is to Level 50, so that means so many missions are coming still. I think the devs will really have a lot of variables to make missions out of. In the future, they could come up later a mission with a combination of needing a score of 9 firearm stat, then has to be level 12, then needs a T-Bot and has VR glasses, and so on.

EXTRAS

Another cool thing you'll find on this game is the artwork. Recently Trooperz resident artist whipped out one of the coolest magazine covers you'll ever see.

Somehow, even though the characters look gangsterly and wield katanas and all sorts of weapons, some Trooperz really look mean, but somehow the game artist give them this cute and wholesome appeal to every artwork they make.

Overall, my take, the game devs are pushing the right buttons, meaning keeping the game exciting, wonderful engagement with the community/nft holders/players, being super transparent, always ready to face any concern of any player. For me, I guess they managed everything so well from start to present.

Perhaps, my best analogy is the devs of Trooperz Genesis is like a super band. Some bands are carried by the vocalist or by the lead guitarist only or both by the vocalist and lead guitarist only. But a super band is like all members of the band are the best of their craft. The vocalist, the lead guitarist, the bassist and the drummer are not just jamming but creating immortal classic songs. Like a super band, all members of the dev team are the best in what they do. Hats off to you all.

My last comment for now is I really think that since this is a play to earn game, as you go higher, it will be more difficult. If you've played Pokemon Go, as you go to Level 30, you'll feel it is much more difficult to go one level higher. I think it's gonna be like that too. They won't just give you big money for nothing, but you have to prove you are a dedicated player. But I guess we'll know when we get there. I'm guessing though that real substantial money will be felt when we reach the level 20s. Just speculating here. I guess too that will be a topic for another blog.

Go Trooperz!
Thank you for reading. Till the next Trooperz blog.

Nice to see a NFT game that doesn't have a horrendous entry price.

Dear @metapiziks, we need your help!

The Hivebuzz proposal already got important support from the community. However, it lost its funding a few days ago when the HBD stabilizer proposal rose above it.

May we ask you to support it so our team can continue its work?
You can do it on Peakd, Ecency, Hive.blog or using HiveSigner.
