I Am Continuing To Show Up Everyday

avatar

When building your online business it is necessary to show up every day.

More importantly, it is important to have a plan of what you are going to accomplish in your day, and a plan of how to get there.

Unless you are like me.

And planning paralizes you to the point where you don't show up because you think you are showing up "wrong."

picture from Hive Stock Images Community, thanks @ervin-lemark. For me this picture showed how sometimes I feel stuck like this fog

Then you start to doubt yourself and then you spend days on end playing Splinterlands, even though one of your goals is to grow your finance writing career.

And you have no goal for splinterlands aside from "blockchain games are cool."

I have a list of my goals, and I re-look at them every now and then.

No matter how I twist my goals, they are always the same: build wealth.

Crypto, fiat, business, real estate, etc etc. BUILD it.

Which is why I changed my strategy back to simply showing up every day.

I am showing up every day. And making "being online" at my main side hustle a priority.

I am knowing and wanting to use that platform I give advice on to the max. I know daily contact and emails with my clients is the "right" way to grow.

No matter what, I am making sure to spend at least a few hours a day logged onto the platform.

Wether I get a hit or not. And it seems to be working, as I am making a fiat income on most days.

The cool thing is that while I am logged on I can be doing other things

Like writing this post for the Ladies of Hive

Or journaling

Or meditating

Or even making dinner (if there is a capable person available to take over the task if I get a call).

The main thing, is to show up every day and make sure all your actions lead to your main goal

Funny enough, now that I am no longer paralyzing myself with

write only finance related posts

make sure your posts are outward facing

is this really something you want to share on twitter?

don't do anything until you email your clients

why don't you have your own mailing list?

You have to decide what you are going to be mailing where

don't email your clients until you have a set schedule

create that set schedule

why haven't you moved from redbubble to hivelist

What do you mean you still don't even have a schedule - ahhhhhhh.

I am doing more than before.

I recognize that the majority of my time is manipulated by taking care of my kids

I can be the manifesting expert I know I am, and manifest this working better and better for me. I can build systems and schedules.

Or I can keep getting myself stuck.

I choose to keep moving forward.

I mean, I already love how I spend my time. Let's not judge ourselves too harshly, right?

Having one main goal, and a list of tasks, helps

Now instead of trying to do everything. I have my main goal (log online every day).

And a list of other things that I can do to keep my wealth building moving forward.

I choose the action that brings me the most joy, as chasing joy ends up making my life better than anything else.

Especially if I am choosing joy filled actions... that already build wealth.

I think the ladies of hive understand my dilemma

Do you ever get stuck not acting because you think you should be acting different? Or ever have so many things to do you can't do any of them at all?

I have my main goal (log online every day)

I used to have a little part-time hustle in between jobs. Some parts of it were good, others could be troublesome, but actually, all I needed to do was walk out the door, get in the car and drive to my first assignment each time. The rest followed.

I agree we can get overwhelmed with too many things that we should, could, must do and it can be really de-motivating when that to do list/plan doesn't go according to plan. Showing up each day is all you have to do to see a big difference 😍.

Yes, and thank you for the tip.

I bought my 10 LOH coins so now we should all be getting tips and tokens through our comments :)

Keep on showing up every day @metzli and keep on growing. It's easy to take the foot of the pedal in a bear market, but it's actually the best time to grow!

In answer to your last question-a resounding yes! It's easy to procrastinate and put off doing what you planned to do or what needs doing. I am working on that.

Thanks for sharing and the best of wishes to you! Take care!

Thank you for the reminder metzli, I myself have issues on showing up daily and creating content. Kinda hard as I tend to focus on such topics that I can only create. ( more often than not I focus on just reading some random comic books thus hurts the productivity here).

When I don't feel like writing posts, I at least do some rising star missions, and leave some comments.

There was a long stretch of time where I did not use my account, and now I can see how much wealth could have been gained.

Its ok though, we are here now.

Ah... I feel you for a moment and understand :) Sometimes we need to not be too hard on ourselves and loosen up a bit and yes, chase joy instead :) It's nice to see you writing stuff other than crypto-related and finance :)

Yes! I was sticking to crypto related because I thought I wanted to be a "crypto blogger"

However, the more I look at my posts, the more I see that all of my posts are "crypto" posts as they all mean something on the blockchain.

Every comment is able to be as long as I wanted to be because I have been stacking RC's for so long.

It's good you saw it like that and I bet you're having more "fun" writing :) And it's so nice that here on Hive, we can be diverse in any of our writings.

That's a hard one ... I consider myself still as a newbie and I try to stick to my routine. Being online everyday. Not using the excuse: "I'll do that later". I think if you want to grow on a blockchain, you must invest. And for me it's investing time. I try to write articles about different topics and I put effort in the ones I write. The other aspect is photography. I don't want to be the X'th person flooding this space with just pictures. No, I try to explain the motivation of the picture, or tell something about the location. So that's my plan. I set my goal and try to stick to that. The first week I was overwhelmed and didn't know what to do. What kind of contributor will I be? I believe that everyone, no matter what skills you have, can invest time in writing good posts, give comments and help out others.
But I see you already got that! 😁

Well thank you.

Have you heard of Hive Stock Images? They are a community here on Hive.

They provide stock photos for those of us on the blockchain to use.

I invest my time too. And I have been here for so long that now, even if I don't "show up" my account does some pretty cool things on auto pilot.

Still, Actually, literally showing up every day makes a much bigger and better difference.

Thanks for sharing this info! Very useful.
The next 2 weeks I won't have much time as my hubby is coming over. So he will get my full attention! But I keep it in mind. I now try to find the best way to do some things automatic. Slowly slowly I'm getting there. It's a learning process, but I like it.

I am sure the project will welcome your collaboration whenever you are ready.

Have fun with your husband.

If you ever blog about automating business wise, I would love to read it.

So glad to see the stock images being used! Showing up is a huge portion of success, no doubt about it. Daily journaling is something I'm passionate about too, the easiest way in the world to track how you're doing not just in the goals you've set but in all aspects of life.

The fog dispersed eventually 😊

As can your fear and doubt. Streaking an activity to reinforce the habit is a great strategy, congrats.

Yes, I could have totally been poetic and ended that post with a nice sunny view...

It was a great picture, thank you for sharing it with the community.
