Teaching Myself About Finance

avatar

I have spent years learning the metaphysical side of money. It has been a great journey, and now I must make it more practical.

I must learn the physical side of money.

I've been watching some "introduction" youtube videos and I bought a few books, and I am really enjoying the journey, except I quickly learned that I am no newbie.

Thanks to the time I spent on the Leofinance Site

Reading and learning has been a breeze, and the Finance Jargon has been easy to understand.

I never really understood "stocks" but now that I have spent years learning about marketcaps, learning to read charts, and looking at the long term numbers, I can read these books and understand.

Better yet, I am more confident than ever.

I feel silly that I didn't know that the SNP 500

Was simply an index fund comprising of the top 500 companies in the US.

In fact I didn't really understand index funds until I started working with @spinvest and buying ctp index fund

I love that learning to speak crypto has made it easier to learn to speak stocks.

This post is part of the CTP 30 day content challenge, thank you for reading my words

I am happy for you.... Crypto is helping you understand the language of money better

I am still learning though

Do you have book recommendations that has insightful thoughts on finance?

Something that explains the charts, stocks, charts, marketcaps, etc?

This is a basic youtube video I watched recently that is very beginner level.

As far as books, I am currently reading: I Will Teach You to be Rich by Ramit Sethi. So far its "common sense" finances.

As far as learning to read charts, and stocks and marketcaps, I learned that right here on Leofinance.

If you have some very basic questions, I would be happy to lead you to a post that answers them, or I can also answer them myself.

Thanks fo the video ma'am.... I woke up to it, started watching and I must confess it was educating

I just need to clear up all my credit card debt, set up my 3-6 month emergency funds, and then start investing with the money I won't be needing in the next 5-10 years

I'll search this book online and grab a copy for myself, thanks

I'll have to visit lots of blogs on leofinance to learn about this as well

I would appreciate all the links to all the posts that discuss more about finances, investments, charts, stocks, and marketcaps.

I am happy I opened this post
