Hello Hivians, welcome to the #photofeed contest round 69. This is my entry for this week's contest, the landscape photography.

This landscape picture is that of the vegetation in my community.

This vegetation is located in the north central part of Nigeria. The weather condition is this vegetation is mostly dry season with medium rainfall. Farming activities do not start in this part of the country until around June. It is closed to the mini desert region of the core north.

This vegetation is predominantly filled with Neem trees. It is a savannah vegetation.

The vegetation is also inhabited by small reptiles such as snakes and birds such as quail. The sand has mixtures of sedimentary rocks like laterite, loamy and sandy soil.

The inhabitants of this community are mostly farmers. They farm cassava, yam, potatoes, rice, beans, groundnuts and guinea corn. This vegetation also supports animal grazing. There are domestic fowls and cattles reared in this area.

Dogoyaro, the dominant tree, is economically useful to the inhabitants. They use the leaves and the bark of the stem for preparing herbal medicine to treat some diseases which include malaria and body pains. Moreso, the tree is used for construction purposes. Another very important aspect of the tree to the inhabitants, being rural dwellers, is the manufacture of charcoal fuel.
