Hello everyone! How are we all doing? I trust we're doing good 👍😊. Welcome to Hiveopenmic week #167 with the theme "Otaku". In regards to that, I will be doing a cover of the song "I will follow" by Dunsin Oyekan. When I first saw this theme, I was distabilized 😂 I was literally confused because I didn't understand it but then something said to me, Check google 😂 I quickly did and here's is what I found out.

"Otaku" is a Japanese term for people with an obsessive interest, especially in anime, manga and video games. Sometimes, the term "otaku" is equivalent to "geek" or "nerd". However, it can refer to any fan of a particular theme, subject, hobby or form of entertainment.

I honestly still do not understand what it means even after checking the meaning through google. So, I decided to ask my friends amd from everything they told me, I was able to convince myself 😂 that it means an obsessive interest and somehow lovers of animation. Hence, my reason for the choice of song.

Being obsessed means being full of something and having high level of concentration for something. Likewise, this song talks about being in love with God so much that determining to follow him everyday, every minute, second is what all believers and Christians should do.

Following God entails forsaking everything we have and want and doing his bidding and his will. It doesn't matter if you have clothes, shoes, jewelries, luxury of cars, and all good things of life. The bible says, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and everything else will be added to you"

You have to do whatever God want and says and we have to go to wherever he want us to go. We have to be available, reliable and dependable. It won't always be a beautiful journey, we will encounter hardship, struggles, problems and all sort of life issues but in all of these, we should always remember that we're running a race to meet our redeemer and we should follow him till the end of time and till eternity.

I love this song so much. It inspires me each time I listen to it and it makes so much meaning to anyone who cares to listen attentively to it. It is my earnest prayer that I keep following God and doing all he want me to do despite the challenges and what I face in life. I hope you would do same because everything in this life is vanity upon vanity and all that matters is striving to live right and justly in the sight of God and for him alone.
