ECOTRAIN QUESTION OF THE WEEK #9.1: "What Does Spirituality Mean To You?"

Good day and welcome to my page. My name is Favour @mhizfavour and this is my entry to the question of the week challenge. Kindly follow me as i reveal What the word spirituality mean to me.

Spirituality is the recognition of the fact that a man is subjected to a spirit higher authority capable of creating lives, destroying lives and transforming life and besides, this authority is expected to be followed to the latter because there's usually grievous consequences for those that doesn't follow the commandment of such an authority.

Being spiritual maybe born out of fear of loosing a precious place like heaven at the course of one's journey in life or born out of supernatural expectations that could help one survive this perverse and deadly world. Spirituality is bonded by doctrine which states the do and don't of a believer. Spirituality is meant for the believers and those having divine and personal encounter with the supernatural. It makes one become godly and virtuous in all acts and appearances.

Spirituality entails the mode at which one lives his/her life. It's a point where one gives his/herself totally to a supernatural power or divinity to be possessed. Once this is actualised, such a person begins to see and understand mysteries beyond the natural confinement of man. Such an operation can bring about a transformation or miracle that is said to be psychologically or medically impossible. Life is a mystery but it takes a spiritual mind and wisdom to understand such a mystery and deal with it appropriately.

To me, the world is in turbulence due to the fact that the majority are religious but not spiritual. We practice religion and label the other a bad religion (which suppose not to be). Some goes as far as becoming religion extremist without a true encounter or taste of spiritual fortification. One can be a sinner or an assassin yet be religious but never spiritual. Spirituality is an higher dimension of an encounter where you do not think of yourself anymore but sees the good and wellness of others like yours. You give to the poor, orphans and destitutes, you encourage people in their low estate and pray for their advancement, you love your enemies and do good to them despite the fact that you're hated by them, you do not backbite or gossip others, you make peace with all men, you never allow anger take hold of your temperament, you never fornicate or commit adultery with the opposite sex, you cast away all evil imaginations and ensure that you dwell in righteousness, peace, love, joy, meekness, faith and above all; holiness.

To be spiritually minded gives life and peace. Spirituality is never pretends; you're not expected to a wolf in sheep's clothing. It entails showing good examples to others as a template to follow. Most spiritual individuals are role models to one out there. So be spiritually inclined and promote peace and tranquility wherever you find yourself to make this world a better place for you and me.
