The structures of the buildings are mixed with different types of stone, made of laterite and the decoration of sandstone. Mostly Khmer people build the temple using Thmor Baykream. East of the temple, there are 2 ponds-the small one has about one-meter depth,45-meter length and 20-meter width, and the big one has 160-meter length, 88-meter width and more than one-meter depth.

According to Tourism of Cambodia Greenera travel said, Prasat Kuhak Nokor was built by the king Suryavarman I . But in the same year 1002, another document said there was a king named Preah Bat Jayviravarman who who was also on throne 1002-1010. The two kings claimed that they were on throne at the same year, this leading to war between king and king until 1006.

To reach the temple and pagoda of Kuhak Nukor, all passenger can take different kinds of vehicle on National Road 6, then turn west through the gate of Kuhak Nokor pagoda in a distance of 2km.
When you arrive, you have to take about 50 step on the stone stairway.
Well, it actually took us 10 minutes to reach the temple walking on this stairway.

With a higher stone stairway, it’s fair to say that it is an attractive design that allows people to enjoy the landscape. Also it can be a critical feature that goes largely build with a perfect design that really suits with the natural beauty.

Here it comes to a happy moment, I saw many monkeys along the way. Generally, if you are looking for them, you can find in temple area of Cambodia such as Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom or even here too. They normally live in the forest.

In temple area, you may find whole monkeys there. At first a bit unusual because you see them normally behind doing strange things. Locals sell bananas or snack for tourist who want to give it to monkey which will soon be grabbed and eaten by the little fellows.

After they eating, they all moved very quickly from one place to another place. Even though they can’t speak, but I can tell you that they are always excited to see tourists which they know they must have food later.

Many monkeys run and I didn’t know all their names, so I decided to ask local people, and they actually said his name is Bopha. Well
Bopha in Khmer means flower, a fresh and beautiful flower that is impressive.

Since I have mentioned you about the pond, so here is an area they people usually come and local people go on fishing whenever they water level increase. All the kids seems to enjoy it, also at the moment I saw a group of older.

This is where people who came from different provinces can sit down together and enjoy the scenery. In a big group like this, they like to talk about history of the temple, sharing experience of how many temple they have visits and what special things appeared in their adventure.
