Cooking Savory Grill Duck & Delicious Gravy With Fried Eggs π₯©π³π - Idea For Breakfast
Greetings everyone from Cambodia, I have lined out some of my great tips for making a delicious grill duck that turns out just pretty good. I use these methods almost every time I made my breakfast which offered a good quality of meat.
INGREDIENTS βοΈ - FOR GRILLED DUCK
- Duck breast and tight
- Eggs
- Rice
- Garlic
- Chili

Before marinated: Before marinating, I usually wash the meat multiple times until it clean and dab dry with kitchen paper.
Marinating process: To marinate meat before freezing, we need to combine marinade and meat in a large bowl.
Adding seasoning: I pour about 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon of salt, 1/2 tablespoon of fish sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of palms sugar and another 1/2 tablespoon of soup powder.
Determine the taste: Itβs better to think about the mixture whether it suits our taste or not for me I feel like this mixture is a little salty, but I choose not to add anything anymore since we serve it with rice and might be okay.
Mixing the seasoning π§: we mix everything together in either a large bowl or a gallon sized freezer bag as you prefer.
leave overnight: After that transfer the mixture to a plastic bag. This marinade I place in the fridge for one night so that the seasoning and the meat actually goes well together.
Grilling Prepare
Prepare the meat: Carefully place the marinated meat on the rack. After prepared meat, then I set the duration make sure that our electric oven is at the proper temperature.
Set the duration: Well, I am not hurry to serve this marinated grill meat, so I set the duration for 20 minutes and about 225c.
Grilled in the middle of the oven rack: Make sure that we grill our meat in the middle oven rack. Unless a recipe specifies an item that I placed on the upper or lower oven rack, but I only grill one meat, so I use the middle rack with an electric oven.
This is the spot where the heat will be least likely to fluctuate during the cooking process also it will make our duck cook more evenly throughout.
Cook duck meat π₯© and add more ingredients: Before duck meat hits the hot heat, two things need to happen. The meat needs to be oiled and it needs to be seasoned, especially with salt.
Add salt π§: I usually add a little salt and brushing the meat with a little olive oil helps prevent the meat from sticking to the grill and keeps the seasoning on the meat.
Fry Eggs Process
Cracks three eggs: I decided to cook three eggs, carefully cracked them all in one bowl without mixing. I sometimes mix it and add seasoning, but today I want to serve it like that.
Add oils and frying: Heat the vegetable oil into a skillet, then shallow skillet for frying over medium-high heat until it gives off a few wisps of smoke. Next, transfer the eggs to fry.
Fry this eggs for 1-2minutes or until the egg forms a crispy golden edge or until the yolk is cooked to your preferred liking.
Filters out the oil: I feel like I add too much oil, so I need to filter out the oil. I drain the eggs on a rack until the oil goes down or you can use paper towel.
Dipping sauce: This sauce made by my mom, she keep it in the fridge, so I donβt need to make the sauce more. But, I will show you how my mom made it.
First I would like to introduce this spicy dipping sauce, it calls Terk Trey Koh Kong.
Making Spicy Koh Kong Sauce πΆπΆπΏπΆ
We usually start by peeling 4 cloves garlic's skin, cut the lemon and wash chili.
Then, add 3 chili first in the mortar, crash it well until it becomes juicy. Then, crash the garlic into the same mortar until it becomes juicy too.
After that, pour about 2 tablespoon of sugar and 1 tablespoon of salt into the mortar.
Finally, add the lemon juice into the mortar. Keep stirring till it is mixed and become juicy together.
Actually taste them, be sure that the mixture suits our taste well.
Make sure that the basic flavor of this Koh Kong sauce is sweet and sour.
Cooked rice π: I used jasmine rice for cooking. It taste really good and soft. Letβs place it on the plate.
