Greetings everyone from Cambodia, mountain is where we can see and explore new things especially in Cambodia mountain, there are many old ancient temples, classic art and statue. Today is my pleasure, I would like to show you some interesting historical place where I have explored last month.

Old building for worship

This old building was great and a little hot when you get inside there but it was good and we took a short cut with some local kids inside and see some Buddha statue and old stuff.

However, I find it really dark inside I can’t even see my friends so if you get to go, do go there with the local kids, they will guide you.

This place is called “Phnom Bokor”. The Bokor Hill is 1,075 meters high, and promises good weather and magnificent views.

It is a fascinating history place to visit for both national visitors and international visitors.

There is not only one or two temples are identical. There is something new and interesting in each location.

Place where visitors enjoy the mountain view

This place is set on the hill, there are so many steps to climb but it's worth it. Inside the artwork is amazing, visitors who visited there have to make sure to look up and down to see they grey sky cover by clouds while we are looking down, we can see a busy road under the mountain.

Ancient temples

It was built during periods by different rulers. I believer this temple is older. It is notable by many visitors. The classical Khmer architecture majorly includes the use of Tmor Baykream stone in each building of the religious sites. It is said that the architecture of each temple is a work of power, unity and style.

Large temple With crowded

The only other historic building currently in use on the site is a small temple. It is one of the most unique temples in you’ll find in Cambodia mountain. The complex incorporates more than a thousand stones, furniture in its design inside is so unique and more style for us to explore.

Wat Sompov is a huge area with several ancient temples. As far as I know, it is not possible to stay in this area. You can only visit during the day and they also set the rule that said we have to go back before 5 pm.

The Temple of this Hill Buddha (Wat Sompov Pram) may be misnamed because the only thing in common is it known as mountain temple.

Classic Designing Window

Unique style stone Window

I have notice a few designing of this temple. Some of them are classic, but some have repair into new modern style like they created a window glass instead of wooden.

However, I find one window that still protected. It stays near the praying area where people usually go and pray for Buddha statue. I think this window have a unique style, it exists for a very long time, but still looks amazing.

Monivong Historical Park

Walking area

Most of the buildings in Preah Monivong Historical Park were established in 1993 and covers 1,423.17 km2. I take a walk surround this area. The natural beauty is quite interesting, many animals statue, green grass and other plant exist near a very big stone.

Buddha statue

The statue of Buddha, the great statue surrounding by water, which is considered the symbol of Cambodia spiritual culture.

Preah Monivong is a wonderful and remote park for the late fall through dry season, and it is also known for climbing, running and wildlife and country tour.

Flower area with view

When we take a few walk, we can see how beautiful the mountain range is. Actually, the road is just repaired in 2009. People can even drive their motorbike or any vehicles to get on the top of this mountain. There is no rule at all. Moreover, for both national and international visitors can visit here without paying for ticket.

In front of Monivong park

Preah Monivong park has a very breathtaking views. windy and cold so relax and refreshing with the natural environment. Cozy foggy and like a magic with it is clear.

Old Building After Khmer War

No owner building

When I sit in the bus, I saw another old building exists with the tree surrounding. My teacher knows something about this place, he told us the history of this place. Well, this building has been build during French protectorate of Cambodia. Now, there is no people living there anymore. Me and my friends just looked from the glass window, we really enjoy it from one side to another side of the road view, it was so beautiful.

My Teacher and Also Being a Guide

Teacher sings

It was a short-experience with my classmates going on a trip but very memorable. My traveling tour was so fantastic, my teacher was also there, I can ask him some questions related to the old building, how they celebrate in ceremony day, he showed me many great attractions and interesting stories.

However, some parts he isn’t sure and I really appreciate because he said he would do more research or ask another teacher, and will tell me back about what I want to know.
