Weekend Market Exhibition - My Visiting Looking for Handmade Crafts 🖐🧵
Hello everyone, Last Friday, we had the incredible good opportunity to explore the new opening Weekend Market, a day went well because there is a fantastic weather all morning long in our areas.
It was 11 am when I arrived here, people just walked around and looking for stuff. The people there told me, during the night time, there is a concert. Many Cambodia stars will come here and sing. Well, I really excited at first since I haven’t been in this kind of event for a long time because of pandemic. Unfortunately, we still unable to go there at night because I have a busy work to do and my mom said there will be a crowded.
Mostly people design fruits basket, they use the basket that made from wood to put their products on like fruits, and handmade products. Obviously, it seems like there is just a little fruit, of cause because all of these is from local people growing at their house so that means there isn’t much land for them to grow as well.
Looking from the side of the road I noticed that they do have a lid to cover their products, this lid seems like a traditional Khmer style, during Songkum Reasniyum era, I usually see people do this basket style, and it looks so beautiful that would impress the tourist.
People with their family enjoy this local market exhibit, they are interesting in looking for stuff. Some people busy buying fruits, while some are looking for other materials like glasses or shampoo.
The event starts from 7am to 9pm. People usually come and visit at the night time rather than in the morning or afternoon since they want to take rest and looking for food to eat, spend time with their family or friends. I think this event provides such a good vibe for local people who don’t want to go far from town.
During the night time people sell dessert. Actually this is my favorite one , it made from bean and a lot of ingredients full of yummy flavor and texture. Obviously, if you see stall that would sell something like this, it seems like they offer an affordable price for us. This dessert cost only 0.50 dollars.
Many of the most popular Khmer puddings are sold from this mobile street stands. In other common area we just take a look out for the crowds of students outside universities and schools, flocked around a stand selling tubs containing everything from this bean dessert or sago soaked in coconut milk.
This green dessert is calls Loat, made from sticky rice water. The Loat is traditionally eaten to while the weather is getting hotter and hotter. The sweet is best served topped with coconut sauce and ice.
I bought this dessert before I came back home. Come to local desserts stall, Cambodia’s many puddings and sweet treats are loaded with palm sugar, drenched in condensed milk, slathered in coconut cream, and served with lashings of topping like fresh fruits.
I was mesmerized by the fruit in the glass cupboard, it looks like it's very fresh
Of course dear, this fruit dessert is delicious. I think you should try this kind of sweet.
I will do it dear, because I really like fruit
