Hello Splinters, welcome back!

When playing Splinterlands we need to engage in different strategies for different games. Each battle is a different emotion and we need to prepare ourselves in knowledge to get used to a logical reasoning for the matches, well I think this is a quality that a player must develop to obtain good results.

Periodically, we come across battle rules and these battle rules, in my opinion, bring dynamics that consequently don't let splinterlands be a monotonous game. Today I'd like to talk a little about some battles I've done during the week and share my point of view and some strategies, let's go!?

There are two summoners that are a real headache when facing them: Scarred Llama Mage and Yodin Zaku.

These are strong summoners that leave damage wherever they go and facing them is not an easy task. With the passage of time and experience gained through many battles, we get used to facing these feared summoners. Defeating them ends up being just a matter of positioning the monsters, good choices and of course a little luck for the opponent to make a mistake.

Let's start by talking about Yodin Zaku.

Adds ranged attack, health and the Blast skill, turns monsters into real war machines. The Blast skill is very treacherous when dealing damage to monsters adjacent to the attacked monster. It is always very important to be careful when facing it.

When facing this summoner I value two things: Speed and protection.

  • Speed: This is an excellent form of possible dodges, if you don't get hit, you don't take damage. Speed, in addition to being a great option to defend through dodging, is also very useful in the offensive part, if you attack first, the opposing monsters die first.

  • Shield: The logic of having more shields is simple, it adds protection and saves your life from some attacks.

Based on that logic, we have summoner Kelya Frendul to add these attributes and that was more than enough for the victory to be won.

  • The battle rule is a determining factor for the choices of cards that we are going to use, it is necessary to use the rules in our favor and meditating on possible actions of our opponent can bring benefits.

  • As we can see in the video above, it was very important that my team was fast. I managed to defeat some monsters before they even made their first attack and this is a very important point as dead monsters cannot attack. The dodge was present on my side of the field and so my monsters were spared a few times.

  • Positioning is another point to be highlighted, note that I put my weakest monsters last due to the Equal Opportunity combat rule, so less monsters would suffer the adjacent damage caused by the Blast skill which is added by the summoner Yodin.

  • Shields gave protection and forced my opponent to spend more attacks, gave the monsters more time to stay on the field and that is synonymous with more damage to the enemy.

Scarred Llama Mage, or just Llama for the intimates.

Initially this summoner adds +2 health and cleans the debuff of the first monster through the Cleanse skill, it doesn't seem too scary but his last skill is what makes all the difference for a match : Last Stand

  • Last Stand gives the last monster on the field increased stats.

And as we already know, Llama + Kron is a very used and feared combo. This combo is dangerous in games from 17 mana to 25/30 mana, Kron can be practically unbeatable. But not impossible to beat.

In this match we only have 20 mana to scale the team and this is an adequate number for the dreaded combo we are going to face. But I prepared myself for this, spying on the opponent's match history is of great help when making some decisions.

I chose the summoner Alric to add a little more damage to my monsters and this is fundamental to be able to defeat Kron when he is in Last Stand, he heals a lot and the damage must be greater than the amount of health he can restore.

As we can see in the video above, the damage was important, but the set of factors is what was really important for me to get the victory in this match:

  • First I needed my tank to last long enough for a few rounds, I chose the Legionnaire Alvar and its ability Void Armor to withstand magic attacks.

  • Low mana, I didn't have many options other than choosing low cost monsters with magic attack to be boosted by my summoner.

  • The most important point for this match to be successful is to somehow get Kron not to attack and heal himself and this was achieved through the Stun skill that my monster ** Medusa** possessed.

Inhibited from attacking with his powerful attack and from healing himself, Kron was easily defeated.

Facing powerful summoners is a challenge but with a little experience and malice we can achieve good results. I will always be an eternal apprentice and every day I learn something new and even in defeats I can absorb knowledge. It is important to observe our mistakes and the mistakes of our opponents and learn from them, so we can evolve every day!

And that's where I'll end this post, thanks for reading this far and spending some of your time with my words. To the next!

Watch out for the human traffickers at hivefest. You wont know it until its too late. STAY AWAY! Beware, traffickers can be women or men! They will act nice until they dont. There is human trafficking going on around this type of crypto. I have witnessed it. They literally have attempted my murder and are trying to kill me with V2K and RNM. Five years this has been happening to me, it started here, around people that are still here. Homeland security has done nothing at all, they are not here to protect us. Dont we pay them to stop shit like this? The NSA, CIA, FBI, DHS, Police and our Government has done nothing. Just like they did with the Havana Syndrome, nothing. Patriot Act my ass. The American government is completely incompetent. The NSA should be taken over by the military and contained Immediately for investigation. Thanks for digging into these two problematic summoners! I've bookmarked this for when I need some inspiration after seeing either of them in my opponent's match history.
