Got a RUNI - Was that really useful? (A Splinterlands Media Challenge)

Yes, I know, I surrendered and finally got myself a Runi, being now the proud owner of the Runi #1833. This is the start of a new adventure, about which I do not know much (I was asking @yonilkar on Twitter about how I transfer it to the game, to find out that we are not there yet). Yeah, I know, lucky me, I can learn really quick.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, RUNI is Splinterlands first PFP NFT, and 6500 of them ar available for now, until 25th of November. Once the mint is finished, all the remaining ones will be burned. On top of that, there are some interesting announcements related to this NFT.

First of all, by staking the NFT on Ethereum, with your Hive username as tag, you can access the card in the Splinterlands game and use it to play and fight on your matches. This will probably be done this year.

Second, they mention something interesting called reconstruction, where you can combine 2 unstaked RUNI, using one or more parts from the second one to add it to your first NFT. This will result in a whole new RUNI, with the second being burned. This is more like a vanity move, and sincerely, I do not see many people doing this, give the price of one NFT now, but then, to make things right, the game devs did said that a new trait will be added to the NFT to show how many time was reconstructed, and this one will count as multiple cards if there are any additional benefits activated later.

Then, we will have RUNI Badges, some separate, stand-alone, tradeable NFTs which can be added to existing Runi NFTs and will displayed in the background behind the Runi character. This will probably sold or received as a prize in-game, and you may be able to sell them on Opensea.

And finally, they may be other roles for RUNI, stacked in Guild or in the future land feature, in order to provide some unique benefits. So, with less than 3 weeks left, it is time for you to decide it this is a worthy cause, or just some side project fading away. The team seems excited with the posibilities, and this made me want to own one of those NFTs.

This was a difficult choice, with so many features and cards added lately, and it is hard for me, as an average player, to keep up with everything that is released out there. I am already behind with trying to fully upgrade Chaos Legion set, and most of my RW cards are half there. On top of this, we had the latest 2 airdrops, Constantia and Hace, and seems that Lux Vega summoner will be released soon.
