The Drake of Arnak is no mere hack! (A Dragonflight Splinterlands battle challenge)

What is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a Play2Earn game, where you can play battle against other players to get a better rank or in tournaments. It is a NFT game based on Hive Blockchain, with multiple ways to capitalise and make money, real money, by playing it or trading in it. You can start earning as soon as you buy a Spellbook ($10) getting SPS tokens and NFT monster cards via daily quests and season quests (every 2 weeks). Sometimes you may even win a 5 cards packs with your rewards. You can also get rewards from staking the SPS you got from rewards, or by owning a node licence (4 Vouchers and 22 SPS daily this week), or from owning Nightmare packs (the Tower Defence game) or Land NFTs. Bonus, if you stake SPS, until October 2023, for a whole year, you will receive daily GLS tokens airdropped to use on the Genesis League game, which can be also staked now for extra rewards.

Right now you can still buy the Runi NFT from Opensea, and NFT packs from Chaos Legion and Riftwatchers collections. An awesome hint from a really good player (not me), if you open your packs after the Legendary summoners are introduced, you have a small chance to get them from the packs.

The Dragons are one of my favourite Splinter, and I have few summoners that I like to use like Brighton Bloom for Earthquake, Delwin Dragonscale to truly unleash the Dragons magic, Daria to boost the Melee damage, good for the only Melee ruleset, and Drake of Arnak, to boost armor when no Water or Life splinter available. On my match I tried a combination of tank with healing and armor.

So, for the challenge, this were the starting conditions:

Mana Limit: 14

Rulesets: Unprotected - no one has armor. (Did not notice this one, my bad)

Teams:

Mine - Summoner: Drake of Arnak, giving 1 Armor boost, cancelled by the ruleset. Seamonster with Healing and Pirate Archer with Blast.

Opponent - Summoner: Tarsa boosting Health and Melee damage by +1, with a Radiated Scorcher and Chaos Agent as fodder in front, and Kobold Miner with Sneak, Serpentine Spy with Opportunity, and Uraeus with Sneak to do the main damage.

Round 1 - My Pirate was destroyed by sneakers, and the tank had only 4 Health left while it managed to kill the Scorcher. Round 2 - The Seamonster died under the siege of 3 cards with Sneak and Opportunity.

Star of the game - Uraeus, managing to do the final hit to both my cards. Still think I would have had a chance with the extra armor.
