CREOLE BREAKFAST / DESAYUNOS CRIOLLOS
Most people do not know or do not understand that when there are holidays for most of us, for those of us who work in the Food and Beverage Area, it is when we have more work, such is the case of the Easter season. It's a very tough season, I have a lot of work, I'm exhausted and it's only Tuesday.
-La mayoria de las personas no saben o no entienden que cuando hay vacaciones para la mayoria, para los que trabajamos en el Área de Alimentos y Bebidas, es cuando tenemos más trabajo,, tal es el caso de la temporada de la Semana Santa. Es una temporada muy dura, tengo mucho trabajo, estoy exhausto y apenas estamos a martes.
That's why I haven't had much time to write a post but here is one about the breakfasts that are most requested here and that despite being an inn whose owner is a French woman, what they most request is Creole breakfasts.
-Por eso no he tenido mucho tiempo para escribir post pero aquí les va uno sobre los desayunos que más se piden aquí y que a pesar de ser una posada cuya dueña e s un a francesa, lo que más solicitan es desayunos criollos.
Creole breakfasts consist of:
- Scrambled eggs
- Shredded meat
- Fried plantain
- Arepa 🫓
- Butter
- Avocado
Los desayunos criollos consisten en:
- Huevos revueltos
- Carne mechada
- Platano frito
- Arepa 🫓
- Mantequilla
- Aguacate
And the way in which it is distributed or plated is generally in different small containers to give a greater sensation of abundance even when it is a lot of food for one person, they almost always leave an arepa for example.
-Y la manera en como se distribuye o se emplata es por lo general en diferentes envases pequeños para dar mayor sensación de abundancia aun cuando es mucha comida para una persona, casi siempre dejan una arepa por ejemplo.
Everything is cooked at the moment, the only thing pre-marched is the meat for obvious reasons but everything else is cooked instantly.
-Se cocina todo al momento, lo inico premarchado es la carne por obvias razones pero del resto todo se cocina al instante.
The biggest challenge in this dish is having a good avocado, it is difficult to know if this food is good or not, that is, it is not known if it is watery or tasteless, because that depends on the place where it is harvested.
-El mayor reto en ese plato es tener un buen aguacate, es difícil saber si este alimento esta bien o no, es decir no se sabe si esta aguado o sin sabor, porque eso depende del lugar donde se coseche.
And finally, customers usually ask for coffee and some natural juice from seasonal fruits to accompany their breakfast. It should be noted that this type of breakfast is very good for customers to be satisfied and not stressed by hunger while they enjoy their vacations.
-Y por último, por lo general los clientes piden café y algún jugo natural de frutas de temporada para acompañar su desayuno. Cabe destacar que este tipo de desayunos son muy buenos para que los clientes queden satisfechos y no esten estresados por hambre mientras disfrutan sus vacaciones.
