Beauty and the Beast of Caracas

Caracas, a city you hate or love, there are no half measures. People say it's a jungle made of concrete and I agree with that. There are beasts and beauties in the middle of its streets and the great wall that is El Ávila, its largest hill.

Here I want to show you some pictures that I took in the west of Caracas. The first two I took from a moving vehicle in an area called Parque Central.

The other images belong to the Military Hospital located in San Martin. I took them when my father was confined to that health center, because of a cancer he did not survive.

In the photos you can see that mixture of the immense mountain that separates the city from the Caribbean Sea. You can also see the homes that divide the extreme poverty from the middle class and how in spite of that the colors of the sunset and all that mixture looks attractive to the lens.

I live 18 kilometers from Caracas, in a town called San Antonio de Los Altos. Currently there is no passage between the two places because the Corona Virus has been unleashed in my country. You need a special permit to travel between the two locations.

Today I was reviewing some photos and I found these, with which I count you that same mixture of sensations that is Caracas.

Pictures of my Authorship

I took them with my Samsung S6
