Me and MikeZillo to Wroclaw. A different New Year’s Eve! / Io e MikeZillo a Wroclaw. Un Capodanno alternativo

(Edited)

Here is the first article that wrote my wife, Maria. You will see her in a following picture.
Maria and I have been together since 6 years (beginning of 2017) and we got married last September, in the province of Reggio Emilia. I eventually will make a post about our marriage as well!
Anyway, today I am here to talk about Poland and our great experience in Wroclaw since the 31st December till the 3rd of January.
A quick shot, but quite intense. On these three days we walked on average 20.000 steps meaning that all the nice food we ate, was quickly burnt.
You may be wondering why we are using a single profile, well, because in this profile I will start sharing both my professional life, my sport life and my house-life. Using Hive, not just as a professional showcase, but instead, using it as a real blog!
Some of them will be episodes of shared life mine and hers, using one or two profiles, there is not really a difference :D

Let’s start from the author, which is Maria, Mike’s wife. In this picture we were at the New Year’s eve Dinner party into a nice restaurant in the centre of Wroclaw.
I will make a dedicated article on the food. Let’s start our sightseeing of Wroclaw. Follow me!
At first we landed. Here is what Wroclaw looks from above, from the plane.

Seguitemi!
Per prima cosa siamo atterrati. Ecco come appare Breslavia dall'alto, dall'aereo.

Here following, Rynek, the central square with all the Christmas banquets where we could find some useful and nice stuffs for home and our close relatives.

The following is the Town Hall. Quite artistic and very nice. It totally fit the rest of the historical part of the city.

Di seguito il Municipio. Piuttosto artistico e molto bello.

Following, a typical building in Rynek, in front of the Town Hall

Here following, a panoramic place upon St Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic parish. The tower is 130 meters height and I can tell you the breath there was almost cut from such beauty and wideness of the sights.

Here following, the Christmas tree in the central square (Rynek) of Wroclaw. It was fire resistant because during fireworks a lot ended up onto it, but they did not manage to set it on fire (luckily for us, right beneath it).

Following the Bridge of the Penitents. A huge legend affecting the story of this attraction. The view from here was simply amazing.

The following, is the Tumski Bridge, that connects the centre to the Cathedral and the historical area of Wroclaw.

And then two pictures of the Cathedral of Saint Johannes Baptist. The front and the rear.

And here is Tumsky, seen from another Bridge. Worclaw has about 100 different bridges and some areas are covered in well maintained swamps and lakes.

The panoramic photo

The normal photo

And here beneath, photo taken from the bridge that is hidden on the left in the last picture. The one you see in the bottom was very very similar to the Brooklyn bridge style!

Here beneath, the National archiepiscopal Museum.

Qui sotto, il Museo Nazionale Arcivescovile.

Following a Jewish synagogue, in the very centre of the Jewish neighbourhood.

Then, the Church of the Protestant Nativity, in the centre of the Protestant neighbourhood.

Following, the Royal Palace, where inside was hosted an important art exposition from MIrò and Dalì.

Here below, me again. You have to know that Wroclaw is the city of Dwarves since there are more than 300 spread across the city. We managed to take pictures of more than 100 of them and I will write an article dedicated about them and their origin.

Here a traditional Polish restaurant, where Mike met the guys from Skillsbite, a project he is currently advising for strategy and Tokenomics.

Here beneath, a nice café, we discovered to late (on our way back) that has a dining area onto the water, in a calm zone in front of one of the major park’s from Wroclaw.

I hope that with this quick overview you could enjoy our staying there at least 10% of what we did. In the coming days, a post with traditional Polish kitchen and the Dwarves!
Stay tuned!
Mary

Restate sintonizzati!
Maria

Absolutely. We too loved the restaurants and the vibes. It was our first time in Poland, but I really felt welcome.
I will write in the coming days a couple of articles on the Dwarves and the traditional dishes we tasted 😎

This made me remember about the unique things about Wroclaw is there still street lights in Wroclaw that are manually lit by a person?

Happy New Year Mike! I've never been to Wroclaw or Poland, so it was really great to see your pics and read about your adventures. Furthermore, it's interesting to see the new "spin" you've given to your blog here on Hive. Wishing you a phenomenal 2023!
