¿ What is the difference between essence points and keychain voting power?

Can someone explain the difference between my $0.10 in value points and my $0.04 in keychain voting power? I thought voting power was the same as value points.

Points are used for some utility and help you grow and engage, while Voting power is blockchain level metric relates to your voting activity.

Ecency points are not mentioned there, you can collect them by using the ecency frontend and then e.g. spend to boost your posts (have them shown to users in their feed).
