Hola, amigos de #Familyandfriends, es un gusto estar de nuevo por acá. Esta vez es para contarles de una salidita que tuvimos hace algunos días antes de venirnos a casa de mis padres: un día de compras con los niños. Y es que desde hace una semana decidimos que los domingos serían nuestro día para comprar, digamos, los insumos para la venta de nuestras tortas, que es nuestro nuevo emprendimiento. Los domingos porque en la semana se nos hace engorroso hacerlo el día lunes y también vender las tortas; llegar a casa y hacer la comida es todo un meollo. Así que por eso decidimos agarrar los domingos. Los domingos nunca hemos vendido tortas y los tomamos para comprar las cosas, y este domingo decidimos llevarnos a los peques.
Hello, #Familyandfriends friends! It's a pleasure to be back here again. This time, I want to tell you about a little outing we had a few days ago before coming to my parents' house: a shopping day with the kids. About a week ago, we decided that Sundays would be our day to buy the supplies for selling our cakes, which is our new business venture. We chose Sundays because doing it on Monday during the week gets tedious while also trying to sell the cakes; getting home and making food afterwards is a whole hassle. So, that's why we decided to use Sundays. We have never sold cakes on Sundays, so we set them aside to buy supplies, and this past Sunday we decided to take the little ones with us.
Ellos, por supuesto, estaban súper felices porque iban a ir con nosotros. Ese día fuimos a Mango Bajito y compramos algunas de las cosas que ya les he ido mostrando por acá: cositas que necesitaba para hacer las tortas, muchos utensilios y cosas para el baño. Compramos muchas cosas y, obviamente, después de llevar tanta carga y un montón de hambre cada uno (jajaja), ¡llegar a la casa a cocinar no era una opción! Así que decidimos buscar algo para comer y lo más cercano era un restaurante chino que ya me habían recomendado varias personas, pero donde nunca había tenido la oportunidad de ir. Pasamos, y aquí estaba Ema contentísima, aunque tenía que esperar para comer. 😂😂
They were, of course, super happy because they were going with us. That day we went to Mango Bajito and bought some of the things I've already been showing you here: little items I needed for making the cakes, lots of utensils, and bath supplies. We bought a lot of things, and obviously, after carrying all that weight and with everyone being super hungry (lol), getting home to cook was not an option! So we decided to find something to eat, and the closest spot was a Chinese restaurant that several people had already recommended to me, but I had never had the chance to visit. We walked in, and here was Ema, extremely happy even though she had to wait to eat. 😂😂
Luego de unos minutos, porque la verdad no esperamos mucho, llegó la comida. Por lo que pagamos, me pareció una excelente cantidad; pedimos dos platos y con eso comimos los cuatro, ¡sirven bastante! Quedamos súper llenos. El arroz estaba súper rico y Ema estaba súper feliz y concentrada comiendo. A Christopher nunca hay que decirle "papi, come, come", porque ya lo hace solito, ¡es de muy buen paladar! 😂
After a few minutes—because honestly, we didn't wait long—the food arrived. For what we paid, I thought the portion size was great; we ordered two plates and all four of us ate from them. They serve really generous portions! We ended up super full. The rice was delicious, and Ema was super happy and focused on eating. As for Christopher, you never have to tell him "sweetie, eat, eat," because he does it all on his own—he's got a great palate! 😂
Pedimos dos arroces con pollo agridulce y camarones, y una ración de costillitas que estaban buenas, la verdad. 😍
We ordered two orders of rice with sweet and sour chicken and shrimp, and a side of ribs, which were honestly really good. 😍
Ya luego, todos con la barriguita llena, nos fuimos a casa, jeje, pero no sin antes tomar unas fotitos. 😂🥰
Then, with everyone's bellies full, we headed home, hehe, but not before taking a few photos. 😂🥰
