The fruits of my labor are being affected 😞

Hello, dear community. Today I feel quite sad and upset seeing this situation. To give you some context, a while back we decided to plant banana trees because they’re a profitable crop to harvest over time—they reproduce on their own, and we just take care of them.
We enjoy planting this kind of crop as a hobby, and the benefits we get from the harvests are satisfying.
For several months now, we’ve been experiencing a heat wave, which has resulted in us not receiving enough water. The rains didn’t come until July and August. As a result of this drought—which we know as “cuaresmera”—this tragedy has befallen us: several of our banana plants have fallen over, along with their bunches.

There are several factors behind this, but we looked into what might have happened, and it was literally the drought that lasted from the beginning of the year until recently—half the plant is dead. Additionally, Venezuela is currently experiencing a tropical wave, during which I’ve noticed strong winds, which caused the plants to collapse—not to mention the added weight of their clusters.
The saddest part is that even though some were already ready to be harvested, others needed just a little more time—yet we still had to cut them down.
We left one of the plants there with its cluster because it’s such a huge loss to take it down like that; let’s hope they grow a little more before the plant dies completely.

It’s frustrating to see something you put so much effort, time, dedication, and care into disappear so quickly in just a few minutes. It’s something that’s out of your control.
But with a positive attitude, we’re still grateful because we still had a nice bunch to harvest and enjoy.

I’d love to hear from you in the comments—would you ever dare to grow bananas or some other fruit? Best regards!!!

Wow friend, I love bananas, green or ripe, they're all delicious to me. No, I've never planted bananas or had any knocked down by the wind. Wow, I'm so sorry you ran out of bananas.

That’s so sad, my friend; I know how much care goes into your crops. I hope they thrive soon—it’s a blessing to have banana plants. 💚
That's right, I know we'll soon have better harvests.
It must be quite frustrating, I'm so sorry, it happened to me a long time ago with a tomato plant, it never gave me a tomato but it was a tomato plant

Wow, that’s just like my experience. The banana trees in my garden are going through the same thing; several of them have toppled over while bearing fruit. What’s really frustrating is that they fall when the fruit is still young. It seems like we’re experiencing the same weather, even though we live on different continents.
You're absolutely right. What's just as annoying is when your bananas are ready to harvest, only to find that someone else has beaten you to it—or in other words, stolen them. That’s what made my mother furious when she found out her bananas had been stolen.
