Photo-walking 😊

Hello once again, hive friends...

I had quite an enjoyable walk the other day with some friends. Weather was good despite of the humidity, the breeze made it easier to take.

While walking on the streets, I saw quite a lot of flowers planted just outside the fences of peoples homes. So I guess, taking photographs is allowed. Well, I didn't get into trouble, haha.

I first saw these yellow flowers called sulfur cosmos. It's very bright yellow, I guess it's why it's named after sulfur. I didn't give it a sniff so I can't tell how they smell.

Then I noticed these bright red canna lillies standing tall and full of flowers. So attractive, the plant reminds me of helicunias or the bird of paradise plant which has bright orange flowers. They have almost similar looking leaves. Maybe they're a family 😊.

Then even these red bleeding hearts vine were almost on the ground, I noticed them as well because of their unique beauty. It's kind of neglected I should say because no one put a support around it to climb to. Reminds me of this well kept park in Hongkong that I used to hang around. Imagine red hearts vine as the wall and the roof adorned with its clusters of little red flowers. So lovely πŸ₯°.

And seeing these river tamarind flowers was nostalgic. When I was younger, my grandfather used to take us to where his fish ponds are. They were in the middle of more fish ponds. So we had to walk on narrow dikes where usually river tamarind trees grow by themselves.

The fish ponds are still there but lost my grandfather decades ago. We do not know what we're going to do with it. It's been years that it had been untouched. Funny how not one of us has interests in breeding fish and fishing.

I enjoyed those moments with my grandfather a lot when as a child I will try to catch shrimps and crabs, too. So exciting. Those times when he made fire to grill fresh caught fish and the seeds of fresh picked cashew from the tree next to the hut. Then he mashed those seeds with something heavy to reveal the ready to eat cashew nuts. I so missed those days... I can't believe these river tamarind flowers can take me back in time.

Then despite that this fire spike plant still looking like a baby, it's already producing this flower. I love its fresh look. And these bougainvilla that's used as a fence and I spotted this bougainvilla as tall as a tree almost as high as the electric cables.

Also, we saw edibles' flowers. I'm meaning vegetable flowers. Like this bright yellow and purple flowers. This is lady's finger (okra) flowers. The next light purple and yellow flowers are eggplant's (aubergines) flowers. And this green chilli that I guess after a week it will be ready to be harvested.

It's also awesome to see this mango tree with a lot of blushed colored mangoes 🀩😍🀩.

That was quite a walk. A friend offered to drive us home after the walk and we took this road passing by the aviation school. What a sight. It's quite exciting to continue doing my photo taking on a moving vehicle particularly if it turned out nice πŸ₯°.

That was a morning well spent with friends and I met new ones too. As well as I had fun doing photography using my ever convenient smartphone camera.

Thanks so much Hive friends for giving this post some precious time of yours. Much appreciated. Have a good week ahead πŸ€—πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ».
