Walk for Health ❀

Hello all Hiveans, I hope you are having a good week πŸ€—.

I've gone to the old house where my siblings and I grew up the other day. Two of my brothers still live there and a sister-in-law. There is always something special to this house, that nostalgic feeling. Those times when I do not have adult worries... when worries are for parents only, haha.

Well, getting there on foot only will take me around twenty minutes and a lot quicker if I take this public transport that we call "tricycle". I tell you what, a five-minute ride will cost me around .40 usd. Why should I pay fare when I can walk. It will be good for my body same with my purse.

In just three minutes of getting out of the house I saw these two little beautiful birds. Sorry, photo is a bit blurry because I adjusted my phone camera to zoom. It's a bit tough to take a photo of them. They flew away so quickly... And these attractive purslane flowers just cannot scape my vision. Beautiful colors, aren't they?

The only challenge here is the weather. When it's hot and super humid, and when it's pouring with rain and windy. I don't think it's a clever idea to get out there for a walk in any of this weather.

Well, obviously the weather was humane it's why I've gone for a walk. It was hot and Mr. Sun was glaring but it was breezy too, that made the weather walkable as you can see in these photos below. This bench in the picture is just one of very few benches around. Very helpful to those who need a little rest for their legs.

This green vehicle is the tricycle that I mentioned about earlier. It's not comfortable but it can be convenient when you are rushing and when you are carrying heavy things.

Looking at these trees, they look really ancient. Making me wonder how old they are.

Walking makes me see and appreciate all these and have some fresh air. One of my motivation to do that walk is the activity tracker. With a goal in mind, you just want to do it without pressure and the positive attitude towards health benefits that walking can give us. We are really doing ourselves a favor not only physically but also mentally. If I reached my target, I am happy. It's my little goal and achievement everyday.

Yeah, thinking of the health benefits of walking is also very motivating for me. My mother was a diabetic, my father had a pancreatic issue, so I thought if I use this energy properly that food that I eat is giving me, that will be of great help to control my blood glucose level. And hopefully bad genes can be altered, if not... at least delay whatever...

I also believe that walking is good for our bone health. It will strengthen our muscles and joints as well. Our muscles will shrink if we don't use them. And if we keep on moving, it will loosen stiff muscles or maybe we can avoid stiff muscles. With these thoughts in mind, every step counts.

Everytime I walk through this stretch of park this Japanese restaurant is always getting my attention. Someday, I'll come in and try their food...will let you know when that happens.

And at the old house, my sis-in-law is keeping this little aquarium with little fishes. It's little but such an eye candy what with all these colorful stones, snails and fish.

Then I walked back home after few hours of chill time and chat time with the three.
