Ettin Spearman saves the day

Ettin Spearman is really a good long-distance ranged attacker if used effectively with its attack 3 and health 8 at its basic level, he can be a good backup for you. If ever you level up him then you will able to use him efficiently with its Piercing Skill and even Knock Out if it reaches to level 8.

He is quite easy to level up as you can easily acquire it via daily rewards and even at seasonal rewards since this monster card is categorized as common. So the chances of getting him are really quite high.

Details

In this battle, we have two battle modifiers, first that all our monsters lost their abilities so with that, I should focus on a good front line that is solid and can maintain the ground and followed with ranged attacks and magic attackers. Another thing is that only even monsters are allowed into the battle but the mana cap is really high so with that, we can still choose our best monsters to join the battlefield.

If we chest on my opponent side, he also strategizes the same with me, a combination of three monsters but on the same position as mine.

My Line Up

My primary hero of this battle is Ettin Spearman as he efficiently does his job and damages those opponent monsters that are a threat to us. His damage really gives the enemy a headache as we seen a never miss-hit to enemy monsters.

On my frontline, I used Goblin Mech as it can really hit hard opponents while having a thick armor, giving him more survival on the battlefield.

Spirit Miner is one good magic attacker, that is why I put him into my line on the second position.

Prismatic Energy is a good addition to the crew due to its high damage and efficient longevity in the battle with its high health and good speed. And so this monster is a good anti-magic to those opponent magic type monsters.

I put Centaur at the fifth position as it has low life compare to Ettin Spearman but at high speed. With its Snipe Ability, those Magic and Ranged enemy monsters are barely his priority targets which are really good as my opponent has a good number of both of those attack type monsters.

In the last position, I put Cyclops as it has really slow in speed but has decent ranged damage.

The Battle

In our Round 1 battle, it seems that both of our Goblin Mech having a hard time as both of them are dealing with heavy damage. But prior to that, his Goblin Mech was eliminated with my Ettin Spearman after being targetted by my other monsters.

Before the end of the round, my Goblin Mech almost killed by opponent's Ettin Spearman but thankfully it missed.

At the start of Round 2, a good back up coming from Prismatic Energy and Spirit Miner killing the Naga Fire Wizard. After that, his Bettle Queen did an overkill to my Goblin Mech replacing now with my Spirit Miner in front.

My Cyclops deals good damage to his Bettle Queen and eliminated.

At Round 3, his ranged monster falls into the frontline preventing him to do an attack. So my monsters now have a free hit which kills Mantoid but before that his Pyromancer eliminates my Miner.

At Round 4, there is no more escape for him as we have easily defeated his Ettin Spearman which now replaces the Pyromancer and becomes disabled. It was an easy win in this round.

Analysis

The line up really works effectively especially when it comes to back to Basic. A good melee that could defend in front plus magic monsters replacing the melee just in case the frontline monster falls. Putting ranged monsters are the farthest back to avoid them immediately go into the frontline as they may become disabled and just waiting for a free hit.

With his, I will log it to many strategy manuals and put into action if battles with Back to the basic battle modifier.
